About Me
Hello, my name is Jessica and I am a dedicated and passionate childminder with a **Level 6 Degree in Childcare and Education**. I am committed to providing a warm, nurturing, and stimulating home-from-home environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to thrive.
With my strong educational background and experience in early years development, I support children’s learning through play-based activities tailored to their individual interests and developmental stages. I believe in building strong, positive relationships with both children and parents to ensure every child reaches their full potential.
I offer a variety of engaging activities, including creative play, outdoor exploration, early literacy and numeracy opportunities, and social development experiences, all designed to promote confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
**Availability:** I have **two childcare places available from April 2026.**
**Funded Places Available:** I offer funded childcare for **9-month-olds, 2-year-olds, and 3-year-olds**, subject to eligibility.
My Experience
I started childminding in 2013, and it has been an incredibly rewarding journey. Over the years, I have cared for children of different ages and backgrounds, supporting their learning and development in a safe, nurturing home environment.
Being a childminder has allowed me to build strong relationships with both children and their families.
I enjoy watching children grow in confidence, develop new skills, and reach important milestones. Each day brings new experiences, whether it’s planning creative activities, supporting early learning, or helping children develop social skills.
Since starting in 2013, I have gained valuable experience in managing routines, promoting positive behaviour, ensuring children’s safety, and adapting activities to meet individual needs.
The dynamic of the setting is very much centred around family. The children experience a home-from-home atmosphere where they feel safe, valued, and included.
My Qualifications
I have a Level 6 Degree in Childcare and Education
Safeguarding Training – Ensuring children’s safety and wellbeing is always my top priority. I maintain up-to-date safeguarding knowledge in line with current legislation and best practice.
Level 2 Forest School Training – Supporting children’s learning and development through outdoor exploration, risk awareness, and nature-based play.
Paediatric First Aid Training
Ongoing Professional Development – I regularly complete additional training to keep my knowledge current, including areas such as:
• Child protection updates
• Health & safety
• Food hygiene
• Behaviour management
• Special Educational Needs (SEN) awareness
• Prevent duty training
• Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) updates
I am committed to continuous professional development to ensure I provide the highest standard of care and early years education.
