About Me

Hi everyone! My name is Susan. I am an Ofsted-registered childminder based in New Eltham, running a warm, inclusive, and professional home-based childcare setting.
As a married mother of three, I have had the joy of running a highly successful childcare business from my home for the last 14 years.
Ours is a vibrant, multicultural household, and we proudly welcome families from all backgrounds and cultures into our home.
I pride myself on providing a safe, nurturing space where babies and young children can flourish happily and truly feel that my setting is their second home.
I love supporting children through their most precious milestones, and I am proud to stay in touch with many of my families long after they have moved on to school.
? My Educational Approach Guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, I deliver personalised childcare tailored to each individual child.
My goal is to help children grow into happy, confident, independent learners who are fully ready for the next big step in their educational adventure! To support this in my setting i extend your child's interests or skills with custom, hands-on activity to do at home with parents .
? Indoors: Designed for Independence
My home features a dedicated playroom filled with low-level, accessible play equipment to support child-led learning.
To help your child master daily routines, build self-confidence, and gain independence, the setting includes: Accessible water stations, Personal coat pegs, Child-friendly toilet facilities.
? Outdoors: Gross Motor skills Play, Planting, Sensory/Messy play.
Children enjoy daily access to a large, secure garden designed for active play and hands-on sensory learning in every season. My garden is equipped with a variety of activities which include blackboards, water/sand equipment, gardening tools,
ride-ons and slides, alongside plenty of open space to run freely and develop essential motor skills.
We also have a lovely little fruit and vegetable patch where the children plant, water, and harvest their own crops—learning firsthand about where food comes from! Baking and cooking are big favourites in our house, and we love using the "fruits of our labour" from the garden in our kitchen recipes.
? Out and About in the Community
We love exploring the world around us! To support essential social skills, our routine includes:Weekly visits: Local children’s centres and libraries for singing, storytime, and messy play.
Termly trips: Local museums, working farms, and garden centres.
Seasonal adventures: Strawberry picking, pumpkin patches, and magical Christmas grottos.

To make your daily routine as seamless as possible, I am proud to offer an exclusive home pick-up and drop-off service. Depending on your location and the specific times required, I can safely transport your child to and from my setting, saving you valuable time during the frantic morning and evening commutes.
