About Me
Hi, I'm Kate and I run Chandlers Ford Childminders.
I have been working in childcare for over 20 years, i have 2 children of my own.
I really enjoy working with children and find the job very rewarding.
I live in Chandlers ford with my Husband and my sons, we are very lucky to have lots of lovely parks and walks local to us and we are also in walking distance of the leisure centre.
We enjoy trips to the park, the library and the farm. We also have a lovely garden with a great play area for the children.
I have a full clean drivers license and a large family car.
My Experience
I have been working with children for over 20 years in different settings.
I have been a registered Childminder since 2018 and i am Ofsted graded GOOD.
I spent a year in a nursery and then went into nannying.
I have nannied on a shared care and sole care basis with ages ranging from newborn upto 14 years old and i have also done some proxy parenting.
I have experience with looking after children with severe allergies and dietary requirements including the use of epi pens.
My Qualifications
I have a BTEC national diploma in early years childcare (level 3 equivalent)
Childminding training
12 hour peadiatric First aid
Advanaced Safeguarding
DBS
My Availability
I have availability for 2 children on Monday and Wednesday from September 2026
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
I offer a full day session (7.30am - 5.30pm) for £60
I also ask for a £5 a month voluntary payment to help towards the cost of outings
I accept government 15/30 hour funding and tax free childcare payments

Kate is an amazing childminder! She has looked after my daughter since she was 9 months old and has supported her early development immensely. Kate takes the children on lots of days out which my child has thoroughly enjoyed. I have just had another baby and I will be sending him to Kate’s too, once I return to work, as I know he will be well cared for.

Finding a childminder for my daughter was incredibly scary for my husband and I, especially as first time parents with no idea what we were doing. My daughter has been with Kate since she was 18 months old, she is now about to start school, Kate has been such a key part in preparing my daughter for school. My daughter absolutely loves Kate. The leaps and bounds I have seen from my daughter is incredible. Communication has been incredible from the very start. We met with a lot of childminders and nurseries but Kate was the clear choice (even if we live in Winchester and have to travel 20 mins - we wouldn't change it for anything) I could not recommend Kate enough, and could not have asked for a better person to look after my daughter.
