I am a professional registered childminder who has been graded OUTSTANDING in ALL AREAS in my last four consecutive inspections, the most recent in January 2020. I live with my husband and two teenage daughters. We have a pet dog, a cocker spanial cross, who is very friendly and sometimes noisy! I offer a fun and loving home from home environment for children to learn, develop and grow. Children under five will have an extensive learning journal following the EYFS curriculum. This not only shows children’s progress during their time with me, it also makes a fantastic keepsake for families.
I registered in 2006 and have been working consistently ever since. I have had extensive experience working with forces families and understand their needs relating to deployments, separation anxiety and the challenges the lifestyle offers. I have also had expeience looking after children with additional needs relating to medical issues, allergen issues and with children with Special educational needs. I have references from previous clients and Inspection reports available on request.
I have two level 3 qualifications in childcare, an NVQ in Child Care Learning and Development and a CaCHE Diploma in Home-based Childcare. I hold a current CRB and have qualifications in Safeguarding, Peadiatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and have attended various other courses relating to EYFS, Inclusion, SEND, FGM, Prevent Duty, Food Allergy training and Data Protection.

Lisa has been amazing since our little girl started with her in April. We were really concerned to leave her in childcare as she did not like being separated from us, but Lisa was amazing at settling her in and making us feel reassured that she was ok. It has been fantastic to see how much our little girl has developed since starting at Lisa’s; we love the precious little things she comes home with that she has made. Every Wednesday they also go to a playgroup which our daughter loves, and she has had some special experiences there already! As soon as we arrive our daughter goes running in with a huge smile on her face. We really are grateful that we found Lisa and would highly recommend her.

Oh Wow, thank you so much for your lovely review! Your little lady is such a joy to look after and her cheeky ways have me laughing every day. You both make it easy by working with me and taking on board what we do here, extending the learning at home. Thank you both for your partnership and for allowing me the pleasure of her company!
Lisa was my childminder for three years before we moved out of the area. In that time my daughters thrived, my youngest went from shy and barely speaking to a complete chatterbox and my eldest developed a love of crafts and books thanks to all the activities provided. Lisa helped support my family through deployments of my husband (he would go away for months at a time), through potty training and transitions to school. Nothing was too much effort for her and she would always go out of her way to accommodate extra hours, overnight care and last minute early drop-offs or late collections when needed. Our children felt like part of Lisa’s family, welcomed not only by her, but also by her children, who formed a great bond with my own, and by her husband. The family dog, Bailey, was much loved by my children and will be missed almost as much as Lisa and her family.
