My Experience

I've previously helped take care of over 33 children and the children that are here now have been here for a long period of time and, of course, I have experience having my own 2! I still keep in touch with children that I have cared for over the years. Happy to ask existing or previous parents to give references on request.

My Availability

Currently working term-time only. Normal working hours are from 8 am to 6pm, 5 days a week. Although other arrangements may be discussed, so please ask. Settling in periods can be discussed for some school holiday periods.

I am approx 5/10 minutes drive from QA Hospital near to Purbrook Junior School.

My Fees

• Childminding from £5.50 per hour

I do not charge you a retainer during the school holidays (according to the Hampshire County timetable), and you can not use my service during this time unless we agree well in advance. I occasionally open during the holidays to settle in new children or over the summer to re-settle existing children before returning to the settings normal opening hours.

I also operate a budget scheme so that childcare costs are evened out throughout the year. Please ask about this.

Fees do include most outings:
Your child is likely to go on one or more (but not all) of the following outings whilst in my care, depending on their age and the amount of time they are here. These are the most regular of any outing that we do during term time, during the day; Singing groups, Play centres, Swimming, Soft play, Toddler Group, Childminding Group, Farms, the Zoo, Country Parks, Beaches, Museums, Aquarium, Library, cinema, and Beaches. Occasionally we have the opportunity to take the train to different places for the day and the last time we did this we went to the Theatre in Winchester to watch Dear Zoo, all the children enjoyed this special trip!

All outings are covered under our contract unless the cost exceeds £5.00 per child (Marwell Zoo, for example), in which case we may approach you for the remainder fee - before we plan to go.

We also have an allotment, and the children learn to sow their own seeds, nurture plants, and then harvest when they are ready.

Not included;

Food, formula, or other milks, food from baby jars, nappies, wipes, clothing, or ANY type of medication.

I currently have an afternoon school run at St Peters 5 days a week.
