My Summary
About Me
I love working with young children and helping and watching them grow though out the years. I have been working in childcare for 11 years now.
I would love to find a family that are happy for me to bring my two year old with me. She is a very happy and independent little girl who loves to be around other children. She will be going to a nursery near us Monday (9-3) and Tuesday (9-12) so would need to be able to pick and drop her off. There are lovely parks and play areas near her nursery:
I am looking for at least 15-20 hours a week. This is just to be able to support my family.
If you are interested in talking with me please give me a message on WhatsApp as my membership has run out.
My Experience
I have now got a level 5 in early years education.
In august I hope to pass my university degree in childhood education holding a level 7
I have worked at 4 day nursery’s in the last 4 years. Working with children aged 6 months- 4 years. This entails me changing nappies, feeding, prepping snacks, helping the children with their development and setting up and cleaning.
I worked at a school helping me to achieve my level 5 in childcare. I helped the teacher with planning and setting up:
I worked at Green Dragon play-group, which has now gave me a level 3 Diploma in Childcare in April 2015. This has given me experience with young children from the age of 2-4 years within the play-group setting, and also the responsibility of the sole charge of a 12 month old two afternoons a week.
The job role includes;
• Looking after the children at the setting making sure all their needs are being met.
• Completing weekly plans for the setting, following the guidelines given by the EYFS 2012. Based on the topic for the given time.
• I am responsible for keeping up to date records for my key children, following their progress and development which helps me to plan for their next steps.
• Giving feedback to parents on their child’s development.
• Carrying out planned activities with the children.
• Supporting parents when key children are being potty trained.
• Setting up the setting for the daily running of the play-group.
• Taking part in the reflection process for the settings practice, activities and staffing.
• Preparing resources for use within the setting.
• Preparing snacks for and with the children, including fruit, toast, milk and water.
• I am also one of the health and safety officers, which means I am responsible for doing safety checks and risk assessments on the setting before the daily sessions begin.
• Taking small groups of children for story-time, and activities.
Oct 2014- Date
I babysit two little boys on week days and weekend nights. I look after the youngest aged three, every Tuesday while his mother takes her other son to clubs, I cook him an evening meal during my care, we take part in arts and crafts, cooking, playing with small world toys and whatever he is interested in. Then on some weekends I look after both boys. This includes, pre-paring food for them, arts and crafts, reading to them and keeping to their bed time routine.
I also worked with a family who has an 8 year old girl. I pick her up from school. Help her with her homework and help to learn English as she is French. I take her to play dates and make food for her. I look after her some days full time and do crafts and go on outing with her. I have to make sure her bedroom is clean and that she has her shower and is clean.
I am also a mother myself so I do have experience with young babies. Along with working in a baby room in my current nursery role.
