About Me
My name is Rebecca, I spent 13 years working as a full time nanny, helping families raise their children and I was lucky enough to work all over the world doing it. For several of my years as a Nanny I worked with children with autism.
I now work in a public service roll and I’m fairly new to the midlands but I do miss the fun of working with children. My job roll has me working a rolling shift system so would be looking for a babysitting roll or family that would be happy with a flexible schedule.
I am fit and active in my own time, i enjoy running, hiking and anything to do with the outdoors. I am passionate about food and nutrition and believe that our physical and mental well being is best supported by eating a nutritious and well balanced diet. I love to cook and bake and will often incorporate this into my work with children to help broaden their horizons and start to learn about making healthy choices.
I am a fun, trustworthy and reliable individual. I have a full clean driving licence, I am FREC trained due to my current job role, I hold an enhanced DBS and excellent checkable references.
My Experience
I started my work with children in 2010 working with 4 wonderful children in rural North Yorkshire so i have plenty of experience working with multiple children. Over the years I have worked with children from newborn to 13 years.
I have experience of building and maintaining a routine, soothing and feeding younger children, potty training, planning activities, supervising homework and supporting behavioral difficulties with reward charts and other techniques i have learnt in my role as a behavior technician.
My Qualifications
FREC trained in terms of first aid. No formal childcare qualifications.
My Availability
As I work a rolling shift system I would be available for occasional babysitting or a flexible arrangement to work alongside my shifts. Please enquire if you are open to a flexible schedule.
