About Me
Hi My name is Jane I was previously a registered Childminder with ofsted for 18 years and gained a lot of experience during this time. However due to 2 of my own children needing me more due to their SEN needs, I have now decided to only provide care for children over 8 yrs in my own home.
I am CRB checked, Paediatric First Aid trained and fire marshal trained. I have completed various courses in childcare including my level 3 diploma in childcare and was graded OUTSTANDING by Ofsted in all areas on my previous inspection and GOOD on my one this year before deciding to quit as a registered provider.
I am also mum to Caitlin 18yrs, Dylan 16yrs, Keavy 9yrs and Stanley 3yrs.
I am married to Shaun who is my Part time assistant. He is also CRB Checked and Paediatric First Aid Trained. We can both drive and are non-smokers. We own my own home and have a seperate large play room and large garden area.
In Our play room we have a large selection of toys. A reading area with comfy seating and dressing up corner. The children also have there own T.V and DVD Player and use of a Wii and a Nintendo DS.
Outside we have a trampoline, slide, seesaw, sand and water table, a play house, large swing set, lots of ride on toys, roller skates, cricket set, balls paddling pool etc. In the summer I have a large gazebo I put up to keep the children safe in the sun.
We have 2 dogs called Henry & Lola and a cat called Oreo. They have their own area they go during working hours, but we do encourage the children to interact with them as much as they wish too as we want them to build up confidence around animals but at their own pace. The area is gated so the children can go up and stroke them easily but supervised at all times.
In the summer we enjoy visiting the beach which is only 4mins away. We have 2 large parks locally, but also visit other parks in Westgate, Tivolli, Minis Bay, Margate, Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Cliftonville where we enjoy picnics and lots of fun.
In the holidays we arrange trips / days out for the children which can include:
Bowling, Farms and Zoo, Soft Play Centres, Beach, Picnics, and Fun Days arranged by the local sure start centres.
My Experience
I have been childminding for 18yrs but was baby sitting from 11yrs old. In total I have cared for 150 children plus my own 3. The longest I have cared for was with us for nearly 10yrs and even though her parents moved several times they still continued to use our services and she is now like part of my own family. It is important to us that we keep our training up to date and regularly attend various childcare courses.
Having cared for children from birth right upto 15 yrs and our own children and previous working backgrounds I feel myself and my assistant have a great knowledge of child care, and are able to help children at various stages in their development.
I also have a assistant that works with me part time.
My husband who is CRB Checked, and Paediatric First Aid Trained.

My Availability
Our Main Hours
Monday to Friday 7.00am to 6.00pm
However as we appreciate more and more parents are working varying shift patterns Early mornings, Evenings, Weekends and Overnights can also be accommodated. If you do require these hours please do ask and we will try our best to accommodate your needs.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
Day Care = £5.00 per hr per child
Evening Care / Overnight Care / Unsocial hrs are also available.

All snacks and juice provided free and main meals can be provided for a small fee or your welcome to bring your own.

Jane and her family look after our daughter in the afternoons when she has finished school. She loves spending time with the family and other children. There are plenty of activities and trips (playcentres and cinema) to keep the kids entertained. We would highly recommend!

Jayne and her family looked after my 3 children for only a short period due to moving to Maidstone,in the short time she had them my children absolutely loved going there they were always happy and also sad to leave I cannot fault Jayne and her family one bit overall one of the beat childminders around thank you jayne and family xx

After visiting a couple of child minders and nurseries I chose Jane to care for my little boy Rhys when I went back to work in October 2012 after a year off. I was concerned he wouldn't settle well as he is very much a Mummies boy, but no from day one he absolutely loved being with Jane, her family and the other children. Jane and her husband took excellent care of Rhys and were very helpful when I needed extra days or to swap things here and there. Rhys is no longer in Jane's care due to a change in our own circumstances but we are still in contact with the family :)

Ahh Thankyou for your lovely comments. Rhys is a wonderful little boy and a real pleasure to care for and is sadly missed. He is a real credit to both you and Nathan and you should both be so proud. You are an amazing mum, doing a fantastic job, just keep doing what your doing as he is growing into a very beautiful clever little man x
