About Me
My name is Vanessa, known as Nessa. I live with my fiancé who is also registered as my assistant, although will not be a full time carer, (this is to cover an emergency situation). We have 2 boys of our own.
My Experience
I have worked in childcare since the age of 16. I have worked in many childcare environments caring for children aged birth to 11years. I became a childminder after having my 2nd child in order to spend more time with my boys and still do a job I love.
During my time working with children I have gained extensive knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and how to best implement it to support children's learning. I have worked with outside agencies including physiotherapists, speech and language professionals and social services.
I have had experience of working with children with additional needs and am willing to cater for the individual need of every child.
Within each setting I have attended many training courses whether external or in house. During my time in childcare I have worked as a nursery nurse, head of room, deputy manager and manager.
Being a parent has given me the best hands on experience.
My Qualifications
Foundation degree in early years
Btec national diploma in early years
Paediatric first aid
EYFS Training
EYSENCO Level 3
Level 1 in children’s neuroscience
I have taken part in many various childcare related training, certificates available on request.
Currently working through EYPDP course
My Availability
8 am - 5.30pm Monday to Thursday
(5pm on a Tuesday)
8 am - 4 pm Friday
My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
