About Me
I am a Childminder living in Totnes and care for children in the surrounding areas, including; Harbertonford, Totnes, Kingsbridge, Dartmouth. I do not offer school runs, and all children who come to me for childcare are either dropped/collected by their parents/guardians, or we arrange a local taxi firm who does school runs for us.
I have worked as a full time Childminder for 20+ years, have paediatric first aid, safeguarding, EYFS update training, outdoor play training, 2 year old training and many more qualifications which you are welcome to look through.
I charge £5 an hour, from 7:30am to 6:30pm - I can accommodate slightly altered times (+/- an hour) for an added charge.
I live in a detached bungalow in a quiet area, I have,5 chicken, 3 cats and 2 dogs: all of which have grown up surrounded by children and get on well with all ages. I also have a large garden and summerhouse for outdoor playtimes.
I also supply Home Link books for children under 5 so we can both communicate your child’s activities and progress.
I can, and have previously, catered for all dietary needs including; vegans, vegetarians, gluten-free, and allergies. I will supply meals on advanced request at an additional charge, but find it an advantage for the children's normal routine if parents provide lunchboxes and snacks that their children are used to. Children are of course welcome to snack from my fruit bowl at leisure.
Living in a rural area we take opportunities for many outdoor activities, including; dog walks on nature trails, Totnes swimming pool, baking and cooking, arts and crafts, music and dancing and pet husbandry - each day we put on our coats and boots and go searching for eggs.

My Experience

My Qualifications
I have an NVQ3 in early years care and education and NCMA level 3 Quality assurance. I have done EYFS training and in the last year I have undertaken: Risk Assessment, Safeguarding children, Supporting boys achievements, Observation Assessment Planning and Inclusion, Problem Solving Reasoning and Numeracy, Axs01 Introduction to Integrated Working, Giving Every Child a Childhood Health setting Makaton and last but not least First Aid for Child carers [iPaediatric]
