About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder. After committing myself to 15 years in the luxury retail sector, I have followed a career in childcare. I have three young children of my own, which initially prompted my decision to become a qualified childminder and to pursue it as a career.
I have gained a deeper understanding to the importance of every child's learning and development and to achieve a positive result.
A spacious outer class room has been invested on my premises for children's play and activity. New resources and equipment have been implemented to enhance children's communication, physical, social and emotional skills. Development matters and entails all aspects which concludes a child's well being and happiness such as play, healthy food and drink, safeguarding and so forth. Of course, one of the most important feelings for all children to experience is being safe, loved and having much fun.
My Experience
I have been childminding for 11 years with the privilege of caring for many children with ages ranging from 8 months to 8 years old.
In the small amount of time, my business has fulfilled its objective which has been evidently demonstrated from much response from parents searching for childcare and as a result proven rapid business growth. My dedication to my work is reflected in my RAG result graded 'green' and my Ofsted Inspection which was graded 'Good'. This was my first ever inspection.
Reasons For Not Getting Outstanding
1. The inspector believed that I need to take the children out more to local parks to enhance their physical development but she appreciated that I had many outdoor equipment and used the garden very well.
2. I need to not intervene to much in childrens play and let them use their own mind and initiative. I need to step back a little and let them commit to activities themselves more to encourage their independence.

Sandy has been looking after our daughter since Sep 2018. We’re very impressed by Sandy’s professionalism from the first meeting we had to discuss our childcare arrangement. She’s kind and gentle, yet assertive when needed, which is important when looking after a group of young children.
She’s attentive and very helpful. Our daughter loves going to her setting ever since day one. I recommend Sandy highly to anyone who is in the area.

Our daughter has been looked after by Sandy since September 2017. We chose Sandy as she made us feel that our daughter would be in safe hands and well looked after. The kid really enjoy her time with Sandy and her family and always come home happy. There is an amazing family atmosphere with not just Sandy's family but also the other children. Thank you Sandy, we are so pleased to have found you!

My daughter has been looked after by Sandy since September 2017 and I couldn’t ask for a better childminder. Within minutes of meeting Sandy my daughter was happily playing away so I knew she would be happy with her. Sandy made the transition into starting school an easy process and made sure my daughter settled really quickly.
My daughter loves being with Sandy and her family and always comes home happy. She has a lovely home and is always very welcoming. In fact my younger daughter will be starting with Sandy this September when she starts school.
I couldn’t recommend Sandy highly enough to anyone who is looking for a childminder and feel very lucky to have her!
