Hello and welcome to Muddy Boots Childcare. I provide a homely, warm and welcoming environment for children and their families. Children are encouraged to be independent, inquisitive and explore and grow with activities that are tailored to their individual interests and developmental stage. We spend the majority of our time outside at various parks, nature reserves and National Trust properties, being immersed in nature and using the world around us to learn and develop.
Photos are sent throughout the day so you are able to see what your child has been doing.
I have received a GOOD for my recent Ofsted inspection. The inspector wrote that children gain a secure foundation for their future learning and display positive attitudes to learning. She also wrote that I provide the children with a wide range of interesting experiences and am a good role model and children learn to share, take turns and display good manners.
My Experience
I have over 11 years experience of being a childminder and previously to this I have worked in primary schools and secondary schools. I have experience of looking after newborns and children of all ages.
I attend plenty of play groups, soft play areas and local parks and nature reserves, as well as National Trust properties. I work closely with several other childminders and we meet daily at various activities.
I have a wide variety of resources to inspire learning and development. Children have access to the whole of the downstairs as well as the garden.
My Qualifications
Paediatric First Aid
Diploma in Home Based Childcare.
Food Hygiene and Safety Level 2.
Nutrition in the Early Years.
Improving Children’s Learning Through Play.
Child Development.
Outdoor Play.

My Availability
I do a school run for Westacre Infant School and Uplands Junior School.
I am open from 7 am until 5 pm.
I am open TERM TIME only.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
Fees are £55 for a 10 hour day. This includes breakfast, afternoon tea, snacks, outings and activities.
I do not provide lunch and parents are expected to provide a packed lunch.
I accept all funding from 9 months to 3 years.

My son started with Nikki in September 2014 at 10 months old. He loved Nikki, her sons in fact her family very much. He enjoyed all his time spent within Nikki's care. Many of times cried to come home! We recently (September 2015) had to sadly say goodbye to Nikki due to us relocating. I highly recommend Nikki as a child minder, my son learnt a lot, she was very patient with him and totally understanding for all our needs around my working hours etc.
