About Me
Hi, my names Shelly Iacurti. I am 38 years old and I have been have been married for 13 years. I have worked with children for over twenty years. I live in a non smoking home and have a daughter called Luci who is 9 years old and goes to Mountain Lane school.
I know finding childcare can be difficult and this is why I provide a stimulating, relaxed, friendly, safe and homely environment for children to grow and develop. My setting is a home from home environment.
I am a child led childminder who believes in learning through play and life experiences. We will often go on outings, we feed the ducks, go to the local toddler groups, libraries, and local parks.
We also do activities such as stories and rhyme time, arts and crafts, musical instruments, and lots more.
My Experience
I studied at college for 5 years gaining lots of experience working in nurseries and primary schools.
I am qualified to an NVQ level 3 in childcare and a level 3 in health and social care.
After I finished college I then worked in a nursery for over 12 years where I was team leader. I have been a childminder for 9 years.

After sending my son to a private nursery, when my daughter came along, I felt she needed to experience a different type of child care environment, a more "home from home" environment, and this is exactly what Shelly provided.
From my first meeting with Shelley, there was an instant bond with them both. Shelly has the natural gift of engagement, friendliness, a bubbly and caring nature and she is honest. She is always very professional, and was 'everything and more', that I was looking for to get that "home from home" experience for Josie.
Josie enjoyed going to be with Shelly, there were no tears, just excitement, perfect. Josie formed a close bond with other children Shelly was caring for, Josie still talks about them now. Shelly has a natural affinity with the children she minds, Josie to this day has never forgotten the time she spent with Shelly, she still talks about her now. I think, as a parent, this says everything.
Shelly gave me thorough feedback verbally and in a written diary after every session. Josie made some wonderful paintings, drawings and lovely Christmas tree decorations, Josie still remembers who she made them with.
Josie spent some of her most informative early years with Shelly, she helped to nurture Josie, physically, cognitively, creatively and socially.
Thank you Shelly, Josie had a wonderful experience in your care, which both of us will always remember.
Overall
I have known Shelly for over ten years, we begun our training together at Mid-Cheshire College Winsford and then worked together at a indoor children’s play area and then in a private day nursery.
What strikes you when you meet Shelly is her passion for what she does, she is fully committed to providing child care to the highest standard and loves what she does.
Shelly works in partnership with parents and is focused in developing a clear understanding of parents wishes and feelings for their children, Shelly will help to develop routines to ensure children’s full care needs are met and so such does not disrupt the child’s routine when at home. Shelly has clear structure and plans in place to help children develop and meet their full potential through providing stimulating play activities and experiences that children will enjoy and learn from.
Shelly show’s emotional warmth to children and build’s positive relationships, so that children have trust in her and parents feel satisfied that their children are happy and safe whilst in her care.
Children clearly love Shelly, she is fun, friendly, loving and always enthusiastic. Shelly will offer praise to children, helping children develop a sense of self worth and confidence.
Shelly’s home is clean, tidy and has lovely toys and activities for children at each stage of their development.
Shelly is fully qualified and it was a pleasure working alongside her, she supported others in the team as well as helping students, who learnt a lot from Shelly’s years of experience.
I would urge anyone looking for a Childminder to meet with Shelly, as well as being qualified, she is a warm and loving character who am sure you and your children will love immediately.

My child went to Shelly for many years an was very happy and settled, they grew a close bond over the years, I was regularly kept up to date with pictures of what they have been doing, Shelly does lots of activities with the children an they went on lots of fun outings. I would defiantly recommend Shelly to any parents a brilliant childminder.

Shelly is an excellent childminder with years of experience, always felt like my child was in safe hands when with Shelly and i use to get feed back at the end of the day, off Shelly which was really good, moved away from the area and found it really hard to find another childminder with Shelly experience and someone who i trusted as much. As a full time working mother i found Shelly's prices very good and always very helpful, like if i was ruining late from work.
highly recommend Shelly to anyone looking for a childminder in the area.
