About Me
Hi! Im Jo (Leese) and a local childminder in the ST3 Meir area,Sandon road side of Meir. I have a son who's 13 years old and have a lovely family home, we have a large secure garden to the rear of the property that includes, bikes, grassed area, raised areas to promote climbing and balencing. I work from my purpose built cabin and conservatory with access to the downstairs toilet. Free flow access to the garden. I enjoy having the flexibility in attending different groups and offer a home from home environment, and showing the children experiences they may not get in a nursery environment. We are spontiouns on our outings and spend much of our time in the local environments visiting places of interest, National trust places of interest and trentham gardens being our favourite. We attend a weekly forest school session and mix with other children in our age groups regularly. I use an online management system which means parents have access to their children's development records at any time. Rated OFSTED GOOD June 2019
My Experience
I've been in childcare for 22 years now. I started as a room supervisor taken on from a placement at 16, and worked my way up to manager. I had my little boy 11 years ago and decided to set myself up with my own business using the experiences and knowledge I have. Offering other parents a home from home environment, and I haven't looked back since. The benefits of a childminder is the close relationship and bond that formed with the children, and also the parents, I offer a more personal childcare setting, flexibility and piece of mind and have great bond with all my children. I have experience of children with various dietary requirements, no dairy, soya, wheat, gluten, egg. My work is aimed all about the children's interest which means we have plenty of outings and learn from experiences were given. I have experience of babies, and children with allergies, also children with additional needs.
My Qualifications
I have a cache diploma in childcare and education Level 3, nvq 3-4 in management, also my foundation degree in early childhood studies,(level 5 status) Along with first aid, safe guarding, observation, senco and many more short courses also.
One of the first setting in Stoke on trent to become a communication friendly setting. I'm a member of the local childminders network.
I have a SENCO qualification
And EYPDP
My Availability
I have no availability at present, but do offer a waiting list. I offer before and after school and serve to Sandon primary collecting and dropping to there before and after school club onsite for earlier or later care when needed. I offer free 15 hours funded places for all 2 and 3 year olds. 30 Hours Free childcare fitting the criteria.
I will be offering the funding from 9 month old when it becomes in place in September 24.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
£37 full day 7.30 till 5.30pm. free 15 hours funding for 2 and 3 year olds. Free 30 hours for 3 and 4 year old if eligible.

Fab childminder had my daughter for over 4 years then my son for the last 3 years it's like a home from home friendly welcoming my children are loved n well looked after n love going here thanks for all your years of love care and attention you have given my children
