My kids are 8 and 12, love chatting with adults, doing imaginative projects including spontaneous play, reading, drawing and making stories with each other especially on walks in the woods. I’m a psychotherapist working mostly online from home and going to be dedicating more time to writing and research within the next couple of years. I’m also a former dance/movement therapist who offers movement, somatic and therapeutic work locally.
We are an LGBTQ+ family so comfort, love and embracing of this is essential. Especially around using they/them pronouns and understanding nonbinary gender expression. Mistakes will happen- I still make them too! But willingness to embrace this aspect of my kids is fundamental to us. Does this sound like it might be a fit for you? My Requirements
I’m excited to be looking for someone who can become part of the fabric of our family, helping with after-school care, car rides for a 12-year-old to activities, school pickups, occasional weekend hours, and light meal prep.
I'm also hoping to pay a higher rate for someone willing to also take on light housework while I'm home with the kids.
Right now, it would be most Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting in November.
