Hello!
My name is Ellen and I'm 27.
I graduated from University 5 years ago and hold a degree in Film. I'm currently a student social worker and will be qualifying in May 2021. Prior to this, I was a 1:1 learning support assistant at a primary school in Chelsea. I am also DBS checked.
I think of myself as fun, energetic and trustworthy. I have numerous experiences with children of all ages in both formal and informal environments. I have 12 cousins - all younger than me - so have been brought up to play and entertain the little ones!
My interests include: music (can play the piano, sight-read, often tinker on my guitar!), concerts & gigs, animals, film, photography, art, illustration, reading & travelling.
My Experience
2010 - I completed a work experience placement at a local Junior School where I gained a variety of useful skills both in the classroom assisting the teacher and in the school office.
2012 - I spent 5 weeks in California, where I worked on a voluntary basis as a Classroom Assistant at a Waldorf/Steiner School in a Grade 3 class of 8-9 year olds. In this role I did a variety of tasks including the support of a 9-year old boy with cerebral palsy and autism.
2014 - I was a nanny for an 11-year old girl, which included picking up from school, entertaining and cooking dinner.
2015 - I was an a nanny for a 7-year old boy and his 5-year old sister which included picking up from school, taking to after school activities, help with homework, reading, entertaining, preparing dinner and bathing. When it came to the Summer holidays, I worked full days where I would take the children on walks, picnics, arrange play-dates, trampolining and a lot more.
2015 – 2016 I was a nanny for a 4-year old girl, which sadly came to an end when I left to travel. This role included taking her to and from school and after school activities, assisting with homework, reading and cooking dinner.

Rates vary on number of children/housekeeping duties (£12-14 p/h)
