My Experience

I have been a sole charge nanny for the last 20+ years so lots and lots of experience. Caring for children from as young as new born up to school leaving ages.

I do like to be able to take the children out of the family home I have a full clean driving licence and my own car.

I've been very fortunate with all of my families to have a wonderful relationship with the parents as well as the children. I've been very lucky to become very much "part of the family" as they have become a part of mine to. So much so I'm still in contact with most of my families I have had the pleasure working for. So lots of lovely references

All of my nannying positions have been a long term. I've seen them grow from babies to teenagers.

I have also worked in a nursery in the baby room, where I worked along side my room leader providing weekly plans for the children. I think I work well in a "team" myself and my room leader had the most lovely atmosphere in our room, and a nice friendship.

I have also in my most recent position had the pleasure of working with a child who has ASD and ADHD working along side the parents in maintaining a smooth transition from them to myself. Which also prompted me to take a course in understanding autism. And I very much hope to expand my knowledge on that at some point in the future.

I have done over night cover as well as caring for children while parents have gone away with work/holidays. Keeping the routine going until the parents have returned home.

My current position I have moved into a primary school environment as a 1:1 send TA. I really enjoy this roll and every day is a learning day in the world of SEND.

I would also like to say that I am a Nanny, not a cleaner or a house keeper or a chef or anything else that some of the "Nanny" posts I see.
I am always happy to help out around the house as I completely understand what it's like being a working parent and running a house.

My Qualifications

N.V.Q level 2 in child care and education.
Many,many years of experience with children aged new born to leaving secondary school.
I have also just completed a course in understanding autism.
I'm an DBS checked etc because of working in a school,also as I help at a local RDA group.

My Availability

Hello, so as I've previously said I am a 1:1 send TA in a primary school which I love.
But I do find myself over the holidays a little lost! My girl's are mostly grown up (only need a taxi) so what I'm potentially looking for is maybe a little ad hoc days of offering some childcare in the holidays.
I don't want to fill all of my holiday as I do need a bit of down time. But happy to have a little charge that I can spend days with going out on trips,walks etc. If this sounds of any interest please do get in touch and we can have a chat.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)

My hourly nanny day rate would be £ 15.00ph

Overnight fee could be discussed if needed.
