My Experience

I have been a sole charge nanny for the last 20+ years so lots and lots of experience. Caring for children from as young as new born up to school leaving age.

I've been very fortunate with all of my families to have a wonderful relationship with the parents as well as the children. I've been very lucky to become very much "part of the family" as they have become a part of mine to. So much so I'm still in contact with most of my families I have had the pleasure working for.

All of my nannying positions have been a long term. I've seen them grow from babies to teenagers.

I have also worked in a nursery in the baby room, where I worked along side my room leader providing weekly plans for the children. I think I work well in a "team" myself and my room leader had the most lovely atmosphere in our room, and a nice friendship.

My last nannying job the oldest child was diagnosed with ASD and ADHD.
This was a process I went though with the family getting him diagnosed and then all of us working together to make sure that he was our top priority moving forward.
Which also prompted me to take a course in understanding autism.

I have done many over night stays with the children while parents have been away.

A lot of my nannying rolls were coming in and taking over from parents.
Some of the things this included was school runs,clubs, play dates, swimming lessons, doctors appointments or any other appointments parents were unable to make themselves. Helping with homework, feeding, bathing, keeping a house/ children running until parents got home.

My Qualifications

N.V.Q level 2 in child care and education.

Clean driving licence and my own car.

Many,many years of experience with children aged new born to leaving secondary school.

I have also just completed a course in understanding autism.

I'm an DBS checked etc because of working in a school along with many other checks that come with working in a school environment.

I have also done many training sessions on SEND in school as well as mini courses online.

My Availability

Hello, so as I've previously said I am a 1:1 send TA in a primary school which I love.

But I do find myself over the holidays a little lost! My girl's are mostly grown up (only need a taxi) so what I'm potentially looking for is maybe some ad hoc days of offering some childcare though the school holidays.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)

My hourly nanny day rate would be £ 15.00ph

Overnight fee happy to chat about that if required.
