About Me
Hello my name is Julie. I have been a registered childminder for over 22 years and absolutely love what I do. There is nothing more rewarding than watching children grow, learn, develop their confidence and thrive in a happy, nurturing environment.
I live close to Ulster University in Coleraine and a number of local schools, making school drop-offs and collections convenient. I am married to Sean and have two grown-up children of my own. I also have a registered Category 2 Assistant, allowing me to provide additional support within my childminding setting.
I enjoy providing children with a wide range of fun and stimulating experiences. We love getting outdoors for trips to the park, beach and forest walks, as well as visiting Alley cats / mother toddler groups. At home, I enjoy getting involved in arts and crafts, role play, games and activities that encourage children’s imagination and creativity. I can also support children with completing their homework.
My aim is to provide a safe, caring and welcoming home-from-home environment where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to be themselves. With over two decades of experience, I understand that every child is unique and I take great pride in providing care that meets their individual needs
My Experience
I have over 22 years’ experience as a registered childminder and have cared for children of all ages, from newborns through to school age. As a mum of two grown-up children myself, I understand the importance of providing children with a safe, caring and nurturing environment where they feel happy, secure and supported.
I have completed my Level 3 Childcare qualification and also have experience working in nursery settings, giving me a broad understanding of children’s development and individual needs. Throughout my career, I have cared for children with a range of additional needs, including children with autism and ADHD. My category 2 assistant has completed makaton training.

My Availability
I work three days per week - Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday from 8am - 5pm.
