About Me
Welcome to Berry's Bunnies
Hi my name is Laura, wife to T and mummy to R. My passion is helping to support children to grow and expand their interests and knowledge, to have fun and explore the world around them developing new relationships and becoming one big family. I have been a teacher, a nanny, nursery assistant and a babysitter. Berry's Bunnies opened in September 2023. I have also completed a level 3 in childcare and 2 degrees (Studies in Primary Education and School centred initialteacher training.
I also work with the agency At Home Chilcare over ofsted and get inspected yearly, I provide a baseline assessment, termly reports and observations, 2 years checks. The agency offer so much support.
Berry's Bunnies is an expanding business I initially worked with my assistant L. L is always at the heart of a story and brings her creativity to everything. She's currently on maternity leave and I now also work with my husband T who all the children adore and he brings his physical development skills. I also started to support an apprentice and develop a rolling programme to help new assistants gain their apprenticeship through a different form of childcare and we currently have L and she brings all the cuddles, crafting and energy to us all. I truly love where Berry's Bunnies is going and can't wait to be a part of your little ones educational journeys and in your families lives.
My Experience
I have experience in schools teaching and many nurseries across the westmidlands when I was with an agency. I loved going in and out of different setting and building up my knowledge and experiences, with children with SEN and additional needs including autism, down syndrome, selective mutism and developmental delay. I can care for children from age newborn to 5 years within my setting.
My Qualifications
BTEC National Diploma in Children’s Care Learning and Development Level 3
Pediatric First Aid Qualified (June 26)
DBS Checked (yearly)
BA Studies in Primary Education (2.1)
PGCE QTS Primary Education
My Availability
I am available 7.30-5.30 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and Thursdays 7.30-3.30. I accept the government funding hours and tax free childcare.
I offer funded hours, breakfast and afternoon club and a fixed day rate. Term time only currently as thats where my current families need me, with holiday club Mon, Wed and Fri.
All year round apart from 6 set weeks off (2 Easter holidays, 2 within the Summer holidays and 2 Christmas holidays.

Laura is a very loving and caring person able to take care of the children always with a smile.
She seems to be capable of keeping her calm and friendliness at all times even if the kids are a bit challenging at times.
She is very professional and reliable. She is so punctual that arrives earlier.
I am so tankful to have found her and it gives so much peace of mind to know that my kids will be safe and happy on her hands while I'm out.

We have been using Laura now since last summer and have always found her to be brilliant. If the children wake in the night they feel happy and comfortable around her and she really cares for them well. She always checks times and dates and has never let us down, even if we ask last minute on the off chance she is free! Definitely a trustworthy and lovely young lady.
