About Me
My name is Laura and I am and Ofsted registered childminder. I work alongside my mother who has been a registered childminder for 43 years. We have been co-minders in our family home for 23 years. I have a purpose built conservatory that has a vast array of resources and a large garden that has lots of garden toys and equipment. We take the children to playgroups, shops, library, parks etc. We implement the Early Years Foundation Stage and keep regular developmental observations which we share with the parents. We are located in Raynes Park and are 7 minute walk to Raynes Park train station which is a direct link into central London. We’re on the 163/164/152/K5 bus route. Ofsted inspection: January 2023- graded GOOD.
My Experience
Previous to working as a childminder I worked in a private nursery in the baby room and the under 2's room. I have an immense amount of experience for the under 5's. I have co-run a playgroup with other childminders which i enjoyed very much and worked in my local primary school nursery too. Since childminding I have cared for 0-8 year olds. I'm a mother of two girls so have plenty of first hand experience.
My Qualifications
My qualifications are as follows: First aid qualified, child protection awarness, AVCE in Health and Social Care,NVQ level 3 in childcare, Foundation degree in Early years, BA (hon)degree in Early Childhood Studies and have gained the Early Years Practitoner Status. I also have attended many short courses related to childcare. DBS checked. I’m a level 3 qualified SENCO.

Laura works with her mum, Carol, to provide excellent child care. My two girls are leaving in September as my eldest is going to school, so its time for a change. Amelie has been there for nearly 3 years now and Neve nearly two years. They have learnt so much and love being at Carol's house. Activities include painting, reading, dancing, weekly projects, trips to the library, walks to the park and feeding the duck. Carol/Laura cooks their lunch everyday and children rave about her food.
If you are looking for a wonderful place for your child, then look no further. I could not recommend them enough.
