About Me
**PAINTERS ASH PRIMARY SCHOOL**
Hi my name is Rachael, I'm 42 I love working with children and think i have the best job in the world. Having my son Tobias gave me the opportunity to totally refocus my career in this field which was something I had wanted to do for some time, and i have now been a childminder for 10 years! My step daughter Paige, whom I used to regularly look after, is a type 1 diabetic using an insulin pump, she now is all grown up and 20 years old! My youngest boy Noah is 8. In our family we have a Cavachon Dotty and Cat called Albus.
I aim to provide every child within my care a fun, healthy, exciting and creative way to learn and develop through play in a safe, loving home from home environment and become part of the BrisleyBear Childcare family.
I own a 7 seater vehicle with a full clean drivers licence.
I believe in introducing children to lots of new environments and like to take them on regular outings. I encourage children to be "crafty" and we are always making new and exciting things to experience and play with to expand their imaginations and creative sides. I attend many different classes at the various sure start centres and go on lots of lovely outings out and about. I also do lots of activities with another Childminder which really gives the children lots of extra opportunities to socialise.
I work closely within the EYFS which allows me to effectively plan activities to encourage the children in my cares development.
I currently do school runs to Painters Ash Primary School
My Experience
My type 1 diabetic step daughter has an insulin pump which has meant becoming experienced in carb counting and blood sugar testing.
I am a registered PACEY member and am constantly looking to further develop myself and my skills through online training and webinars etc
I have a full and thorough policies and procedures booklet.
I currently work with children with ages ranging from under 1 year to 11 years old
My Qualifications
Level 3 Early Years Educator Qualification
Ofsted registered
Pacey member
Registered to offer the government funded places for 2,3 and 4 year olds and offer them during the hours of 9-3
paediatric first aid trained
Basic food hygiene course passed
Registered with KCC and the Environmental health Dept
Yearly updated safeguarding training with face to face training every 2 years

My usual setting opening hours are
Monday - Friday 07:00am - 18:00pm
I am registered to accept children for overnight stays.
I currently do school runs to Painters Ash School.
I offer KCC funded places during the session hours of 9-12 and 12-3 only

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
Fees start from £5.50ph
I am also able to offer the free government funded places to 3 & 4 years old and eligible families with 2 year olds between the hours of 9-3
