A 'home away from home'

Our son attended Federica's setting for over three years (from seven months old to starting school at four years) and has been happy in her care from the first day. I had been worried about sending my child into childcare at less than a year old, especially as he was quite attached and at home would hardly allow me to leave the room without him. However, he took to Federica almost instantly and made no objections to being left with her on his own after a brief settling in period. Any lingering doubts I might have had were put to rest when we arrived a bit too early one day (about two months after we started seeing Federica). As soon as I put my son down in order to wait for Federica to open the door, he crawled across and started banging on the door, demanding to be let in!
Over the years, we have greatly appreciated Federica's kind and caring personality, her reliability and good communication, her support with teaching of everyday skills (from road safety and potty training to recognizing numbers and letters) and her flexibility to accommodate our wishes and needs. As we were navigating the challenges of life as working parents, childcare was the one thing we never had to worry about!

Fantastic childminder, patient, responsive, kind

Federica is a wonderful childminder, unfailingly patient kind and resourceful. She reset our experience of childcare after our child was previously unhappy at a nursery. I was so nervous of sending my child back into childcare but Federica was amazing. She has a very keen instinct for what our child needed, and helped her to develop hugely with her ability to express herself and to manage her emotions. My child came home every day with new skills or knowledge, e.g. she learned to write her name with Federica's tuition.

Federica was extremely flexible and worked with me to find a pattern of childcare that was good for our family, including going to a toddler group together most weeks, and looking after my younger child too on many occasions. She was very understanding of the pressures of being a mother, and I learned a lot from her as I watched her look after my children.

Sadly we have moved away from the area but my child has started at a new nursery, and she now walks in happy and expecting to have a good day - I'm so relieved and grateful to Federica for her hard work as I believe she takes a lot of credit for reducing my child's anxieties.

Federica has a beautiful home as the childminding setting and both my children were very happy in her care.

Most amazing Childminder!!!

My son has been with Federica for over a year and has absolutely loved it. We tried nursery before and different childminders but there was no place like with Federica. It was such a relief that we found her because I never had to worry at work how he was doing, I knew she was taking care of him the best she could and I could 100% trust her. She is so passionate about children and has so much knowledge and experience and creates an environment that is fun and safe. She is kind, gentle but firm and always strives to educate them through play. I was surprised at how many things my son learnt with her in such a short time: letters, numbers, colours, shapes etc. He loved it so much and we were sad when we had to leave. 1000% recommend Federica!
