About Me
Hi, my name is Jo Tame. I am 45 years old and live in Carlton Colville with my husband and our two boys, aged 23 and 21
I first registered as a childminder in 2005 and enjoyed running my childminding business for 7 years. Due to a change in my personal circumstances, I sadly had to give it up, but my passion for working with children never left me.
Since then, I have gained further experience working as a school midday supervisor and as a teaching assistant in a local nursery. In September 2014, I decided to return to childminding — the job I truly love.
I provide a warm, caring home-from-home environment where children can feel safe, happy and supported while learning and having fun.
I have a large playroom filled with a wide range of toys, games and creative resources to encourage children’s imagination and development. I also have a large, secure garden with a variety of outdoor toys and activities for children to enjoy.
For children who need a rest during the day, I have a dedicated downstairs bedroom where they can sleep peacefully away from the other children.
I look forward to welcoming your child into my home and providing them with a fun, nurturing and enjoyable childminding experience.
My Experience
I have a total of 23years experience caring for young children. 21 of those years have been spent as a childminder caring for children from 4 months to 12 years. I also have experience within a school environment working mainly with 3 & 4 year olds as a Teaching Assistant and also as a Midday Supervisor in a primary school.
My Qualifications
NVQ level 3 in Childcare, learning & development
CYPOP5: understand how to set up a home based childcare service
Paediatric First Aid Trained
Suffolk county council Safeguarding children
Food Hygiene
My Availability
I am available from 8am - 5pm Mon to Thursday
I cater for children under school age.
I do not offer school drop offs/pick ups and am unable to take older children during school holidays
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
£6.00 per hour
Price includes drinks throughout the day (except baby milk which will need to be provided by parents) a mid morning and mid afternoon snack.
Price also includes any activities I do with the children & any toddler groups I attend.

My little one has been with Jo for just over 2 years now. Jo has always made us feel at ease with anything and my little one loves it and Loves “JoJo”. He enjoys regular day trips, arts and crafts, and especially going to the park. My little one can be quite nervous but he has excelled since being with Jo. I couldn’t recommend Puddle ducks overall enough, and will certainly continue to use Jo’s childminding services for school holidays, when my little one starts school! Thank you for making our little one feel like he’s at home, when he’s with you!

Jo has been looking after our son, Sonny, since he was 9 months old. Now, he goes to Jo’s during the school holidays and absolutely loves it. He always has fun, comes home happy, and looks forward to seeing JoJo again. Jo provides a safe, welcoming, and fun environment where children can thrive. We feel really lucky to have found her and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to other families.

I sent my son Reegan to Joanne’s when he was only 6 months old and he loves it. Joanne’s always taking him lovely places and sends me lots of pics of what they have been up to. Reegans made some lovely little friends and can’t wait to go in the mornings he is always very excited. I could not recommend Joanne’s enough will be up set when it’s time to leave next September.
