About Me
Hello! My name is Louise, I am a fully qualified, Ofsted-registered childminder based in Yardley. I provide a warm, safe, and stimulating "home away from home" environment where children can learn, play, and grow at their own pace.With over 25 years of experience working with children from infancy through to primary school age, I understand how important it is for parents to find childcare they can implicitly trust. My goal is to work in partnership with you to support your child’s unique development, curiosity, and happiness.
My Experience
I have dedicated my career to early years education, bringing over 25 years of professional, hands-on experience to my childminding setting. My career began in private day nurseries, where I progressed from a dedicated Nursery Nurse to a Team Leader, managing staff and ensuring the highest standards of care. I also spent a rewarding year working within a local primary school, which gave me valuable insight into the transition from early years to formal education.Ultimately, I chose to transition into home-based childminding because I firmly believe that smaller ratios offer the best possible environment for children. In my setting, I can blend my deep, professional understanding of child development milestones and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework with the warmth of a home. I am highly experienced in managing daily routines, tracking developmental progress, and creating structured, educational play plans that nurture each child's unique potential. My daughter, Ava-Rose has been in Louise’s care since she was 6 months old. She attends full time and I couldn’t be happier. Ava-Rose is always so exited and happy to go to Lou Lou’s house. You can see the love Louise has for her children and treats my daughter like one of her own. Ava-Rose always talks about her two wonderful children and how much fun she has had with them after they finish school. The nicest thing I love about dropping Ava-Rose off in the morning is seeing her little face run up to her door, happy to start the day. Louise is always very helpful and takes time to talk to you at the end of the day. I will be very sad when Ava-Rose has to go to school September but I know Louise and I will keep in touch!

Louise has my son 2 days a week and she has done an amazing job with him. He loves going to Lou lous house and playing and learning. Louise is a lovely welcoming person and I recommend her to everyone who is looking for childcare. All the children she looks after love her as do the parents. My son will be with Louise until he starts reception. I cannot praise her enough xxxxx

Louise is a true professional and her care towards the children is exceptional. She creates a safe, fun, creative and caring environment. Allowing the children to grow and develop at their own pace whist providing lots of opportunities to play and explore. She was always there for support, advice and guidance. She welcomed us into her home and treated us like family. Louise made it very easy for me to leave my daughter in her care. I would highly recommend Louise.
