My Summary
About Me
Hello,
I'm Charlotte, I am 32 years old and an experienced childcare professional with over 15 years of experience working with children from birth through to school age. My background includes nannying for a wonderful family for eight years, as well as working in nurseries and independent schools. I currently work part-time as a Deputy Lead in the Early Years department at an independent school in West Sussex.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Childhood Studies and a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education. Throughout my career, I have developed a strong understanding of child development and a genuine passion for creating nurturing, engaging environments where children can thrive.
As well as my professional experience, I am also a mum to my little boy George, who will soon be two. Becoming a parent has given me an even deeper appreciation for the trust families place in those caring for their children.
I am a caring, reliable and patient individual who enjoys supporting children's learning through play, outdoor adventures, creative activities and everyday experiences. I believe every child is unique and aim to provide care that helps build confidence, independence and happiness.
I have a full clean driving licence, my own vehicle, and am happy to support families with school runs, outings and day-to-day routines. I am currently looking for a nanny position during school holidays, one or two days per week, where I can offer flexible, experienced and loving childcare.
I look forward to meeting a family where I can become a trusted and valued part of your children's lives.
My Experience
My childcare career began as a nanny, where I spent two years caring for my first nanny family before moving on to work with another family for eight years. During these roles, I was responsible for all aspects of childcare, including school runs, planning engaging activities, supporting children's learning and development, preparing meals, organising outings, and creating a safe, nurturing home environment. Caring for children over such long periods allowed me to build strong relationships with both the children and their families and support them through many important stages of development.
Following my nannying career, I moved into Early Years education and currently work as a Deputy Lead in the Early Years department at an independent school in West Sussex. In this role, I support children's learning and development, lead activities, build strong relationships with families, and help create an engaging and stimulating environment where children can flourish.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Childhood Studies and a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education. Throughout my career, I have gained experience supporting children with a range of individual needs and personalities, always tailoring my approach to help each child feel secure, valued and confident.
Alongside my professional experience, I am also a mother to my young son, which has given me an even deeper understanding of children's needs and family life. I am passionate about providing warm, reliable and attentive care that allows children to learn, grow and thrive.

My Availability
Holiday nanny! Due to my current role within an independent school, my availability is limited during term time. I am therefore looking for a nanny position for 1–2 days per week during the school holidays. One of these days would need to be a Thursday, with flexibility for a second day depending on the family's needs and my availability.
I am also available for occasional evening babysitting.
I would be particularly well suited to families looking for reliable, experienced childcare during school holiday periods, whether for regular care, additional support, or ad-hoc cover.
My Fees
- Nannying from £18.00 per hour (net)
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
My hourly rate starts from £18 per hour and reflects my extensive childcare experience, qualifications, and current role as a Deputy Lead within an independent school. Rates may vary depending on the number of children, duties required, location, and whether care is regular or ad hoc.
My Documents
- UK Driving Licence (added 01/06/2026)
