About Me
Me and my husband are ofsted registered childminders our names are Jo and Mick brown. We have been running our own business for nearly 18 years .We have 1 assistants that works alongside us everyday.
We open from 730 to 5.00 Monday to Thursday and Fridays 730-1pm We have an extension to our home which is our childminding room and a big outside space that the children access daily in all weathers.
We have 1 dog within our home called Bailey who are excellent with the children.
We have a key worker system in place at our setting so your child forms a bond and settles quickly with us (this does depend on each child how quickly they settle)
We work as a team to give children an enabling environment to grow and learn.
We aim to provide a home from home environment to help children feel at home and settled ready to learn through their play as we provide new activities daily
We encourage learning through play, and work within the relevant framework (EYFS) to ensure your child gets the most from their experience with us.
My Experience
We are very experienced childminders offering care for babies to older children.
We have been doing this for nearly 15 years and update our training frequently.
Any courses we attend we implement them into our work straight away and revise policies and procedures every 3 months to

My Qualifications
Myself and my husband hold childminder qualifications
Kerris has level 3 and are is registered assistant
We all attend regular training to keep ourselves updated and refreshed.

- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
Our fee’s are charged at £5.50 hour that includes all meals and pick ups and drop offs.

Wonderful setting. Jo and her partner are welcoming and lovely. My child is always happy and giggling when they come to pick him.He loves it there so much.

My boy started with Jo and Mick when he was 15 months old. He attended full time from when I finished my maternity leave. I'd viewed a couple of nurseries before meeting Jo, and immediately I felt comfortable with her, the setting and what they provide. My boy is now 5 and still attends after school every day, and he is collected by Jo, Mick or Lauren. He loves it there, and was very prepared for his first day at school. It is home from home, and the love they have for all of the children in the setting is evident.

The best thing I ever did was send my son to this setting. My son had been to childminders previously, but no setting compares to here. I have and would continue to recommend Jo and her setting to anyone and everyone. A family member also uses this setting after the recommendation from myself. They are just as happy as I am. It is not just a setting it is a family. The children are cared for like they are family members. They know each child and their likes and dislikes. They ensure all children’s needs and requirements are meet. Making changes to their setting if needed, to support children and their progress. My son had some very challenging times with his behaviour and they never once gave up on him. They continued to work with me and together we worked through these challenges together. Their support was unwavering. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. They go above and beyond for every child. They put me in touch with the correct people to ensure his transition to school was seamless. He still attends before, after school and in school holidays. I choose my sons school around where the could accommodate drop offs. Whatever I say will never do these guys enough justice. If you want to be able to leave your child with someone who you know they will be well cared for and never have to worry about them. H & K is the place for you!
