My name is Lindsey, and I am the Founder and Director of Cheeky Chops Childminding Services Ltd. I am a married mum of two boys and have dedicated over 30 years to working with children and supporting families.
From a young age, I knew childcare was my calling. I love watching children develop into confident, happy little people and feel incredibly privileged to play a part in their learning journey. Every child is unique, and building strong relationships with both children and their families is at the heart of everything I do.
I began my childcare career in 1994 as a nanny caring for twins. Since then, I have worked with children from newborn through to school age, including many children with additional needs. One of my most rewarding experiences was caring for a little boy with Down’s syndrome for five years, and we still keep in touch today.

Our settings have also been awarded a 5-Star Food Hygiene Rating, and we hold full Public Liability Insurance together with Business Motor Insurance for the safe transportation of children where required.
My Journey
After marrying my husband in 2010 and welcoming our two sons in 2011 and 2015, I decided to follow my dream of opening my own childcare business.
In 2017, I became an Ofsted Registered Childminder and launched Cheeky Chops Childminding Services Ltd from my home in Hornchurch.
As demand grew, so did the business. We expanded, by buying our own home still in Hornchurch, and had an outbuilding which we utilised after realising we needed more space, so then we became Childcare on Domestic Premises, allowing us to provide a larger, nursery-style environment with a fantastic team of qualified childcare professionals.
Today, Cheeky Chops has grown into a thriving childcare provider with multiple settings:

Cheeky Chops at Hacton Hall – Our dedicated nursery based within Hacton Hall, offering high-quality early years education in a spacious setting.
Cheeky Chops at Roneo Corner – Our newest nursery, opening very soon, continuing our vision of providing exceptional childcare to even more local families.
Across all of our settings, our aim remains the same—to provide a warm, nurturing, stimulating and fun environment where children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn through play.
Our Ethos
At Cheeky Chops, we believe childhood should be filled with laughter, curiosity and memorable experiences. We encourage children to become confident, independent learners while supporting their emotional wellbeing and individual development.
Our experienced team delivers exciting activities every day, encouraging creativity, exploration and a genuine love of learning. We pride ourselves on creating a home-from-home atmosphere where every child is treated as an individual and every family becomes part of the Cheeky Chops community.
We are open Monday to Friday from 7:00am until 6:00pm and offer childcare for children from infancy through to school age.

My Experience
With over 30 years of professional childcare experience, Cheeky Chops Childminding Services Ltd has grown from one childminder’s passion into a trusted, multi-setting childcare provider serving families across Hornchurch.
My journey began in 1994 when I started my career as a nanny caring for twins. Since then, I have worked with children from newborn through to secondary school age, supporting hundreds of families throughout my career.
I have extensive experience caring for children with additional needs and medical conditions, including Down’s syndrome, epilepsy, cystic fibrosis and a range of individual developmental needs. I have always believed that every child deserves to be cared for with patience, understanding and respect, working closely alongside parents to provide consistent, individualised care.
Many of the families I have cared for remain in contact years later, something I consider one of the greatest compliments I could receive.
Today, Cheeky Chops has evolved into a dedicated childcare team delivering outstanding care across multiple settings. My experienced practitioners provide a safe, nurturing environment where children are encouraged to learn through play, build confidence and develop the skills they need for school and beyond.
I pride myself & my team on creating strong relationships with families and providing the same warmth, care and personal approach that Cheeky Chops was founded on.

We are open Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 6:00pm, offering flexible childcare for babies, toddlers and preschool children.

Our daughter has been attending the house setting at Cheeky Chops for 7 months and is excelling thanks to the staff and the activities they set up following EYFS framework. She settled really well and loves the company of her new friends and the grown ups, Rachel, Georgia, Chelsea, Lindsey, Kat, Sydney, Caitlyn, Jo, Moon, & Liz.
We were really impressed with the setting when we first visited and Linseys safeguarding and basic life support knowledge.
The team have catered really well for our daughters vegan diet.
We love receiving the updates and pictures throughout the day.
We are only leaving due to moving to a different county. Otherwise we would have loved to continue our daughter attending Cheeky Chops.

My son attended the Cheeky Chops home setting for just over a year (he moved to a closer location to our home / commute). We absolutely loved Cheeky Chops, the whole team have been great with him, but in particular, Lindsey, Chelsea and Georgia absolutely made his experience a special one.
He started with them just over a year old, and he did not settle at all well - even went on hunger strike!! but they were all so understanding, calm and patient with him, they also were great at providing me with assurance and comfort that everything was ok. We amended his hours to shorter days and he gradually built it up over time, within a couple of months he would be very excited to be going to nursery, and i think even forgot to say bye to us on more than one occasion! He is a very confident and chatty child, and this has most definitely been through the nurturing environment that they provided him.
I would also like to add, that the use of whattsapp messaging through the day with photos and updates, especially in those early months was so appreciated.
We were very sad to leave but unfortunately the hall used for the over 2s is just a bit too far from our house and commute, this was a very difficult decision to make.

My son started at cheeky chops 2 just under a year ago he was 18 months old, he really struggled and Lindsey worked with us for months caring and individually adapting to his needs, eventually he was running in and not looking back, Cheeky chops in comparisons to other settings I’ve seen have a huge range of resources encourage freedom, free play and playfulness in children, they children really get to enjoy being children under Lindsey’s care,
It was so hard for us leaving Finn but since attending cheeky chops he has grown and come on so much, unfortunately we’ve moved house over an hour away and we’ve been driving him back because we were so sad to move him, I’d recommend cheeky chops to anyone and wish we could keep our boy there, all staff are friendly and accommodating, it really has a personal touch and Lindsey is on hand via phone at any time, thank you x

My daughter absolutely loves going to her nursery at Hadron Hall, the newer of Lindsey and her team’s 2 settings!
She has been attending twice and week and has developed so much in a short space of time into a clever cheeky toddler!
Lindsey is always great and so fast at communication, we always have updates on our daughter and helped me greatly by adding a third day at the setting when we needed help at a really short notice. The staff are so loving towards our little girl and she is always itching to get in the door!
Would recommend completely!

I contacted Lindsey as I had to go back to work after having my little girl. Lindsey was so accommodating, quick to answer any questions, no matter how ridiculous my questions were!
We went to have a look around the setting and I knew I wanted my daughter to go to Cheeky Chops even before I’d seen the setting, from just talking to Lindsey and meeting the team. You can tell how much they love their jobs and how much they love the children.
Stevie started when she was 9 months old doing one day a week and now at 16 months goes two days a week. The team know so much about her and take the time to update me during the day. I actually can’t believe how much she has come along and all the things she learns. She goes in with a massive smile on her face and comes home with a massive smile on her face.
Thank you all so much for taking great care of my little girl, I know she is in safe hands when I’m at work. She will continue to attend Cheeky Chops until she goes to school! Xxx

The best Childminders in the area! Honestly, so impressed with everything they do, from their home cooked meals, to the activities they do with the children! My daughter started attending at 9 months and I cannot thank Lindsey and the team enough for all they do!
My little girl, reaches out for the staff when we arrive and is always so excited for nursery. I looked around for the perfect setting, for 3 months before finding this one and this one ticks all the boxes and are outstanding in all they do!
The setting is beautiful, all freshly decorated and modern. The resources give the environment a true home from home feel and are very interactive for all ages.

We are really happy with Lindsey’s childminding services.
Each week there are great, well planned activities available for all the children. They use amazing resources, all under different themes.
There is always a wide variety of food available for the children to enjoy.
Great communication directly to the child minders, via the app or on social media.
All the staff are very friendly and genuinely care for the children.
Our girls have attended for almost 2 years now and they enjoy going every week.

I highly recommend this nursery
The staff are extremely fun, friendly, and genuine .They allow the kids to develop in their own way nurturing and encouraging their individuality.
They offer a wide array of activities, and a selection of wholesome home cooked Food.
My son throughly enjoys going to Cheaky Chops. He loves all staff members and has made some wonderful friends. He is truly comfortable and happy in the setting, week in week out.
It’s difficult as a parent returning to work, but knowing my son is in a safe environment, will be well looked after and is happy, makes the transition that much easier.

When I had to choose childcare for my son, my first choose was Cheeky Chops Childminding, Lindsey and her team. This is back at the days when my son was only 6 months old. Now he is 32 months, and he absolutely enjoying his days fulled with enriching activities.
I am pleased with all the engaging learning activities from arts and crafts to educational games.
Communication is excellent, regular updates for the child's day, meals and nap.
I am defInitely recommend Lindsey and all the girls (Cheeky Chops Childminder Services).

I was nervous that my twin boys will take long to settle, however I was surprised to see them happy and settled within the first 2 days. The team is really amazing and welcoming, and my boys love it and I 100% recommend Cheecky Chops!
