Night Nanny Job In Stratford-On-Avon
About Me
I live in central Stratford upon Avon with my daughter (15) and son (12).
My Requirements
Occasional 24hr / 48hr overnight babysitter - calm house anchor + downtime cleaning / house reset
I’m looking for a calm, reliable, SEN-aware babysitter/help at home for occasional 24-hour (and sometimes 48-hour) blocks, typically starting around 4pm.
Flexibility needed along with an agreement on any cancellations.
The children:
Daughter (15) – very independent
Son (12) – some SEN needs. He’s fun, relaxed and comfortable with trusted adults. A steady, flexible and no-pressure approach helps.
What the role is (and isn’t):
This is not intensive childcare. The children are mostly self-sufficient and old enough to get on with their own things during the day. The main need is a safe, grounded adult presence overnight, basic meals, and gentle presence giving the options for activities if wanted.
The huge help (for me) is if that time is used to help clean and reset the house, do laundry or make some batch food for the freezer. Anything to reduce the my workload on return.
Typical 24hr block looks like:
Arrive around 4pm (flexibility available)
Easy dinner around 6pm (I’ll usually make this very straightforward)
Evenings are relaxed; kids generally handle their own bedtime
Next day: kids are self-sufficient; there may be one short activity (e.g. lift to horse riding / swimming / facilitating a friend visit), often none
There can be a fair amount of downtime
Responsibilities (in order of priority):
Kids’ wellbeing & safety (especially overnight)
Basic food (simple dinner, lunch/sandwiches)
If there’s downtime and everyone’s settled: deep clean tasks (agreed in advance)
Cleaning:
If time allows, help with things like:
Kitchen + bathrooms
Floors (hoover/mop)
General tidy + reset
Laundry on, dried and folded
We can agree a short checklist per block.
What I’m looking for:
Warmth, calm, dependable, someone who loves to make a difference
Confident with older kids; SEN-aware (ASD/ADHD)
Driver with own car
Non-smoker
Trust-building / first meet:
Because my son does best with familiarity, we’ll always meet first (and do a short introductory visit / trial) so the kids can establish trust before any overnight booking.

Asmae was able to help me out on very short notice recently. She took the time to come and meet my son the day before so that he'd feel comfortable with her the next day.
Great communication, on time and pro-actively wanted to help with other jobs around the house which was unexpected but I was grateful for. Asmae kept me up-to-date throughout the day and was very understanding of my son's needs.
I felt very comfortable leaving him with her and wouldn't hesitate to book Asmae again, or recommend her to others.

Thank you so much for your kind words. It was a real pleasure meeting your son and spending the day with him. I’m so glad he felt comfortable, and I really appreciate your trust in me. I’m always happy to help wherever I can, and it means a lot to know you felt supported. I’d be delighted to help again anytime.
