About Me
I am a single Dad to my daughter (15) and son (12) living in Stratford Upon Avon. I work from home but trying to be able to get out more to work.
My Requirements
Flexible Family Support Needed – Stratford-upon-Avon
Local, ad-hoc help needed with childcare, light household support & lifts
Hi, I’m a single Dad with two amazing children – a daughter (15) and a son (12) – both of whom live with me full-time in Stratford-upon-Avon. I’m looking for some flexible, local support to help life run more smoothly and give me the occasional space to recharge or attend to work.
I don't need a full-time nanny (and not looking for a cleaner) — but some extra support from one (or multiple) people who can step in when needed, get to know us, and help in a few key areas would make a huge difference to us.
What I’m looking for:
Ad-hoc childcare, mostly for my son (12), so I can nip out for a meeting, grab a coffee, or run errands without needing to bring him along. This might look like just being around the house whilst he games with friends - it doesn't necessarily mean doing something with him or needing to fill the time.
Occasional evening or overnight babysitting, ideally once every 4-6 weeks probably just to stay at home here with my son.
Light household help – laundry, general tidying, basic decluttering. I have regular cleaners, but some extra help staying on top of the everyday stuff would make a real difference although not essential.
Maybe lifts for my daughter to get to horse riding or meet up with friends. A clean driving licence and access to a car would be a big bonus.
Helping prep a few snacks or basic meals if you enjoy that kind of thing.
Even if just one or some of these things is applicable to you - please do get in touch.
About our family:
My son has made huge strides recently in overcoming strong separation anxiety. He’s now much more independent and even heads into town on his bike or stays with a trusted friend. I want to build on this so that his confidence (and therefore fun!) grows.
My daughter is very self-sufficient, but needs a trusted, safe adult around to be a base if I need to be away.
Both children are very active and love things like horse riding (my daughter), cycling (both), animals and meeting up with friends.
We have two cats!
It's really helpful if you have strong emotional intelligence or experience around children with anxiety or sensitive situations (basically SEN), but it’s not essential.
