About Me
I am an experienced English teacher of eight years and childcarer of over 15 years.
I love swimming, yoga, reading and travelling. I am currently learning how to play the acoustic guitar.
My Experience
My background is in Management, I worked for Cineworld Cinemas for 10 years, and learned many skills throughout this time, including time management, self discipline and training, all of which have helped me at the school.
I worked as a nanny and nursery assistant with children from the ages of 1 and upwards. I can tutor for GCSE, KS3 and KS2 English, and can also work as an emergency babysitter or dog walker.
As an English teacher, and have a broad knowledge of the curriculum and requirements for each exam paper for GCSE and functional skills. I also teach GCSE psychology, and can tutor in this subject. I can also provide tuition in speaking English as a foreign language and for the 11 plus exam.
At work, I teach and mentor all year groups, from year 7 to year 11, and I have experience with children who have ASD traits and SEHM.
My Qualifications
I have a degree in English Literature, and I have a Qualified Teacher Status as a teacher in English from University College London, and a masters in psychology. I also have a current DBS check, safeguarding certificate, I am a First Aider, Mental Health First Aider and I have a TEFL qualification.
My Availability
I am available during weekends and some evenings after 5pm.
I am generally available over the school holidays.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
- Tutoring from £30.00 per hour
My fees are competitive and reasonable according to my experience and performance.

Nisha has babysat for my three year old son several times over the past year or two and I have found her to be extremely reliable, and I feel very safe leaving my boy with her. She has a lovely manner with children, and is very capable. I'd highly recommend her.

Nisha has been looking after my 2 children (aged 5 & 7yrs) on the occasional wkd day for over a year now. My children adore her! Nisha is kind, patient, emotionally intelligent with a caring nature. I feel reassured knowing that my children are always in safe hands. With having teaching skills, she is also able to help with homework - which is a bonus! I highly recommend Nisha. Thank you Nisha!
