About Me
Hello my name is Leona. I am a registered childminder, I live in hartley wintney on the edge of a farm so theres lots of exciting things for children to see and do. ( tractors regularly pass by the garden) I have a little baby boy called Albie who is 7. I love being outdoors and exploring nature and my location gives me a great opportunity to do this. Im a very strong believer in child lead learning and although there will be activities set up for children I believe they should be able to choose what they would like and this helps us pick the theme. I like to keep busy and don't like just sitting in front of the tele. Especially if it’s a nice day. I am ofsted registered. Since having my own little one i wanted to continue working with children as i have loved the profession for so long now so i decided to start childminding again after a few years break as i think its a great way to be to carry on my passion but also allowing my child to make friends and be with other children. I have a fantastic garden with room to run around and shade for those hot days. I am a very bubbly jolly person and enjoy getting out and about when i can. I follow the EYFS standards and help teach children in a fun, safe and welcoming environment. i do meet ups with other childminders and children and attend toddler groups so everyone gets to make lots of friends. i am very blessed with my location as it enables me to take the children on bug hunts and nature walks or explore the farm and spend lots of time outside doing activities such as planting and leaf printing. i also love doing arts and crafts and messy play such as foam play, baking, potato printing. i can provide lots of references so please get in touch

My Experience
i have been working in childcare since December 2011. I began in a nursery as a nursery nurse and worked up to being room senior of the under 2 year old unit in a nursery and for a few months i ran the 2 year old room, I then left nursery to become a nanny and absolutely loved every minute of it. I did this from November 2014 until July 16 when i left to have my baby. Then childminded for a couple of years and have been a part time nanny for nearly 10years for the same family. I have worked with various ages in the nursery setting and the little ones i was a nanny for were 2 when i started and were just coming 4 when i left.

Leona has been baby sitting for our 16 month old son for a while now and she is brilliant! The first time our son met her he loved her as she is bubbly, friendly and kind. I feel very happy leaving him in the care of Leona as she is trustworthy, reliable, always on time and really puts you at ease. My family cannot recommend her highly enough.
