Maria
Nanny in London: Hammersmith And Fulham
My Summary
Experienced Nanny Looking For Mon-Thurs Job
About Me
Hi!
I'm Maria, 32, British, an experienced nanny, living in Fulham.
I love working with children. I have over 10 years experience. I’d say I’m good fun, friendly, caring, patient, responsible and reliable.
I am looking for around 30 hours per week, Mon-Thurs. I am open to part of the role being housekeeping/family organising if your little ones are in nursery for some of the hours.
My Experience
- I have been a part time nanny/after school nanny/mother’s help to many families over the past 11 years, with children aged from 8 months to 12 years.
- Typical activities I do include trips out to soft play, stay and play groups, monkey music, the library, swimming, parks, farms, museums. Also fun activities in the house such as drawing, painting, arts and crafts, imaginary play, building dens, reading stories, baking.
- Experience with the other bits that need doing too - dressing children, changing nappies, putting them down for naps, meal times, bath and bedtime routines, etc.
- Educating children. Depending on age I’ve had experience beginning to teach words, colours, numbers, shapes, etc (1 year old), helping with homework (school age), and even trying to learn French together (3 year old)!
- Experience with housekeeping: cooking for the family, grocery shopping, laundry, tidying, organising, running errands, sorting things for school, anything I see around the house that would be helpful to do! I am very happy to have this be part of the role, but not cleaning.
- I have once been a ‘travel nanny’, accompanying a family with a 3 year old on their skiing holiday.
- I have been an ‘overnight nanny’ on a few occasions - having sole responsibility for two children for a long weekend while parents are away on holiday.
Other childcare experience:
- For 3 years I worked at a tutoring centre/after school club providing tuition and childcare to groups of primary school children.
- One-to-one maths tuition for secondary school age students.
- Have experience teaching children with learning difficulties and Autism.
- Voluntary Year 1 classroom assistant (one afternoon a week for 2 years).
- I took part in a ‘Number Partners’ scheme - playing maths games with small groups of primary school children (Years 2-5) one lunchtime a week to build up their confidence and encourage them to enjoy learning maths.
