About Me
My name is Thérèse. I'm a NHSCT registered childminder with NICMA insurance. My childcare career extends over 25yrs, 7yrs managing day nurseries prior to working at home as a childminder and bringing up my 3 beautiful children. I live in a quiet area in Ballymena and within walking distance to parks, schools and local amenities.
I have been working as a registered childminder for 17yrs and I provide a warm, welcoming, loving environment for the children in my care. I have a wide range of toys and materials to help promote children's learning and development through both planned, structured and free play activities.
I encourage and provide children with the opportunity to take part in play relating to all areas of their development. Arts & crafts, singing & dancing, reading & writing, physical activity, role play to name but a few, are achieved through the daily routine.
My home is a warm safe environment for the children to play. I also have a separate playroom with an abundance of books, toys and creative materials for the children to enjoy. There is an enclosed back garden with swings & slides and a large variety of outdoor equipment.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder for 17yrs, registered with the Northern Health & Social Care trust and I am a member of the Northern Ireland Childminding Association.
Previous to starting up my own childminding business, I worked as a Manager in a Children's Private Day Nursery for 5yrs and I held the same position in another childcare setting for 2yrs prior to this.
I have had the pleasure of caring for all age groups of children and I adapt easily to recognising their individual needs and ensuring these needs are met.
My Qualifications
•CACHE Advanced Diploma in Child Care & Education.
•CACHE Diploma in Nursery Nursing (NNEB).
•Certificate in Health & Safety In The Childminding Setting.
•Certificate in Safeguarding Children.
•Certificate in Paediatric First Aid.
•Certificate in Covid-19 Training.
•OCN NI Level2 Award in Introduction to Mindfulness & Reducing Anxiety in Children.
•OCN NI Level2 Award in Awareness of Mental Health & Well-being.
My Availability
I currently don’t have any availability, but may be able to accommodate childcare over summer months and school holidays.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.00 per hour
I invoice parents monthly in advance for their contracted hours.
My full day rate includes: morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack.
My afterschool rate includes: afternoon snack and school collection.
