About Me
Hi my name is Lesley, I’m 41 and I'm based in the Stanah area of Thornton - Cleveleys. I’m a Mum of 2 children aged 12 & 15 and I’ve been married to my husband for 18 years. I’ve been an Ofsted registered childminder since 2014. My mum was a childminder when I was a child and both of my own children went to a childminder when they were younger as I wanted them to have that home from home environment and that’s exactly what I offer to the children in my care. I work closely with parents to provide care that works with their requirements and also their children’s routines and I always do my best to accommodate parents changing needs. Children in my setting are welcomed into my family and are cared for in a clean, spacious and comfortable home. My aim is to provide an excellent service to both my mindees and their parents where families are given peace of mind and children are encouraged to grow and develop in a safe, happy and inclusive environment.
I can accept payment via the Government Tax Free Childcare and I am able to offer Government funded hours for eligible children aged 2 (15 hours) and, 3 & 4 (30 hours). I can also accept college/university student funding.
My Experience
In the almost 9 years I have been childminding I have worked with lots of different types of families and children with many requirements and needs. I offer an inclusive service which is open to all and am passionate about providing childcare in a safe and homely environment. I have experience with caring for children with special dietary requirements/food allergies, medical conditions, disabilities and supporting children that require some additional learning support.
I am happy to provide references and share certificates/registration details on request.
My Qualifications
I have completed my CYPOP5 home based childcare course. I routinely refresh my paediatric first aid and safeguarding training. I also regularly undertake other relevant training courses in my continued professional development.
My Availability
I work Monday-Friday, 7.30am-5.30pm (there may be some flexibility with times)

The only word I can use to describe Lesley as a childminder is AMAZING!!!
My daughter Nancy absolutely loved going to ‘Sesey’s’ and went right up to her starting school. She loved every single minute and I just felt like I was dropping her off at a family members house for the day as that’s how Lesley made you feel- part of the family.
I literally cannot thank Lesley enough for helping to make my daughter into the beautiful kind hearted girl she is today. We have so much love for her and her family and would highly recommend her to everyone!!

My daughter started going to Lesley's when she was 2 until she started going to school and we were gutted she had to leave! We wanted a home from home environment and we couldn't have asked for more. Lesley takes the children om regular trips to playgroups, zoo, park trips, soft play. As well as activities and lots of toys in the home and garden. My daughter still asks and talks about her and the rest of the family. I couldn't recommend her enough to anyone wanting a childminder for their little one.

My two boys have been with Lesley since they were 5 and 6 months old and I honestly could not ask for a better childminder. She truly is the best!
Lesley made going back to work when the boys were so young a breeze. She reassured me at every step, sent photos, helped with weaning and dealt with an emotional new mummy bombarding her.
Her home is BEAUTIFUL and she brilliantly combines activities at home with activities such as playgroup, the zoo, parks and the beach and lots of social interactions for the little ones.
She was mummy when I couldn’t be and gave the boys the exact experience I was hoping for. We’ll be forever grateful- she’s been a huge part of our lives and we’ll be gutted when the boys start pre school in September!

My son went to Leslie just before covid, he was going everyday and he was really happy to go. He was going everyday because we were both working full time. He made friends and knew other children from babies groups. Loads of activities he did with Leslie and he always enjoyed it.

Both of my children have been to Lesley's from around 9-10 months old until they left for primary school. Both of them absolutely loved their time with Lesley. She did so much with them and took them to some amazing places too, they weren't just at her house all day! It was home from home which was perfect for our 2 and we felt super comfortable leaving them with her. Lesley always went above and beyond and our children still talk about her and her family now even though it's been a few years. I will always recommend Lesley to anyone and everyone! Xxx
