Part Time Nanny With Special Needs Experience Job In St Hilary
About Me
Close knit and lively Welsh speaking family based in St Hilary. My husband and I work full time and need an ad hoc helping hand to care for our 12 year and/or 14 old sons who are busy, confident and good company.
My Requirements
School Term Time 28 April - 18 July 2025
Ad hoc need to be in the house early when I need to leave for work before 8am. Someone to be on hand for them, keep them on track whilst getting ready and make sure they walk from the house to the school bus stop on time (7.50am) to be taken to school by bus in Barry.
Ad hoc need to meet them at home from 3.45pm, taking them to nearby clubs by car, ensuring they've eaten etc until I can get home.
The days and dates vary from week to week depending on our working schedules as parents.
As teenagers, they don't necessarily need caring for, but they do need car lifts to clubs in and around Cowbridge from time to time and given the youngest is autistic (high functioning, mainstream school) and the eldest is Type 1 diabetic (for over 7 years, self sufficient) we do not want them spending too much time alone at home until one of us can get home.
Willing to discuss minimum hours if weekly ad hoc arrangement doesn't suit.
All milage paid for, driving licence and own car required.

Working with Katie as a part time nanny for our son has been wonderful. She has been instrumental in setting him up to thrive at school by using her skills and experience in special needs. She’s reliable, prompt, proactive, thoughtful, smart and very skilled. She has set us up as a family with some great learnings. Our son has loved spending time with her.
