My Requirements

We are a warm, down-to-earth family based in East Barnet, London, looking for an experienced SEN nanny to support our 12-year-old son, who is home educated and has SEN needs.

This is a long-term, part-time position for someone who is caring, patient, engaging, and able to bring fun and structure to his day.

Hours

Wednesday: 8.30:00am – 4:00pm

Thursday: 10:00am – 4:00pm

Friday: 10:00am – 4:00pm

Please note: The father works from home on Thursdays and Fridays.

Start Date

1st February

Role & Responsibilities

Preparing and cooking simple meals

Supporting and supervising tuition sessions with tutors

Engaging the child in fun, educational, and stimulating activities

Playing and interacting in a calm, supportive manner

Taking the child out for walks and light outdoor activities

General “muck-in” support with the child’s daily routine

About Our Son

Our son is 12 years old, home educated, and enjoys being stimulated with fun, educational activities. He responds best to someone who is patient, loving, engaging, and enthusiastic, while also understanding his individual needs.

About You

Proven SEN experience is essential (experience with Autism required)

A nurturing, patient, and positive approach

Fun, engaging, and able to build a trusting relationship

Reliable, proactive, and willing to become part of the family

Previous experience as an SEN nanny or SEN support worker preferred
