About Me

Hi. My name is Michelle.Wood. I live in Baxenden with my 2 children Ben and Izzie and their dad Robert.. I have been childminding for about 7 years and love my job more and more with every passing year. My home is always filled with lots of love and fun. I do lots of exciting activities with the children such as music, role play, small world imaginary play, construction, messy play, play dough, cooking, crafts, mark making, dancing, outdoor play, puppets, stories and lots more!! I design activities to tie in with your child's current interests and abilities to ensure they learn in a fun dynamic way closely matched to their skill levels in all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.

My Experience

I am a qualified nursery and early years teacher. I worked within a nursery setting as a teacher for over 10 years before becoming a childminder. I have also worked in a care home for children with special needs . I have been working as a childminder for about 7 years now as I love to work with young children from within my own home, welcoming them into my own family. I have an excellent knowledge of good quality play activities which provide top quality learning experiences for young children and babies. I design activities to tire in with your child's current
