About Me
I am a teacher with 30+ years of teaching experience in primary and prep schools in Surrey. I am well versed with the pressures of the 11+ and understand the senior school entrance exam system extremely well!
I have tutored from Reception to Year 6 since 2000 and cover all primary subjects. My sessions are fun, quick paced and tailored to meet your child's individual needs, whether they require supporting in a particular area or stretching and challenging.
English and French are my subject specialisms and I also tutor verbal and non-verbal reasoning in preparation for 11+.
I hold a counselling qualification and am passionate about building confidence and self-belief through my sessions.
I tutor from my home in Wonersh after school and offer online tutoring for pupils in Years 5 and 6.
My Experience
I have extensive teaching experience from nursery to Y8 in some of the best known prep schools in Surrey. I have taught all subject areas and have been Head of Languages.
Throughout my teaching career I have especially enjoyed teaching pupils who don’t find learning easy, particularly those with dyslexia and ASD. I get excellent results from believing in them, helping them to believe in themselves and working with what they can do and not what they can't do.
