About Me
My name is Ceri Edwards, I am a registered Childminder with CIW. I live in Radyr with my husband and 2 children who attend welsh school.
My first language is English, although I use Welsh phrases as most of my minded children come from Welsh families.
I offer a loving home environment, which is safe and secure allowing children to have plenty of fun. Providing a more personal service for children and their parents.
My services are open from 8.00 - 5.30pm, Monday - Friday.
I have a playroom where most of the fun takes place, great toys to suit all ages. I also have a large secure garden with a playhouse, slide, trikes. Lots of outdoor fun having picnics and paddling pool days in the sun!
Healthy and nutritious food is provided, in the cost, which we can discuss.
Plenty of fun adventures, we always like to be out exploring. We enjoy arts and crafts, music, songs and cooking, fun for all ages. No additional cost for visits to soft play and toddler groups.
My aim is to provide the best level of care for your child(ren).
My Experience
I have been Childminding for the past 15 years, and love every moment I spend with children. This has been recognised by parents as I have just been awarded the Childminder Certificate of Excellence for 2020 by Childcare.co.uk.
I am DBS checked. Registered and inspected by CIW.
Regularly attend First Aid Courses, Child Protection and Food Hygiene.
I also have 2 children of my own.
I am also registered with the Environmental Health.
I am fully COVID 19 vaccinated.
My Qualifications
I have just completed the QCF Level 3 Dipolma in Childcare learning and development.
Courses in Supporting Children with Speech, language and communication needs and Schemas.
CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Home-based Childcare.
Childminder Certificate of Excellence for 2020 awarded by Childcare.co.uk

I have spaces for pre-school children, before and after school.
Drop-offs and collection from local Nurseries/Meithrins, covering Radyr, Gwaelog Y Garth, Bryn Deri, Danescourt, Llandaff.

Our little boy has been with Ceri for a good few months now and I have to say how sincerely glad we are that we found her! What an amazing childminder, we just knew even from the first meeting that our child would be in safe hands with her - Ceri is such a warm and welcoming person- our little boy really hated nursery but he absolutely loves going to “auntie Ceri’s” every week! She has a wonderful playroom full of toys and provides great activities for him come rain or shine including taking him to parks, out for walks and to playgroups-no wonder he looks forward to going there each week. I honestly can’t recommend and thank her enough for all she does.

Our little girl has been looked after by Ceri since she was 14 months. We consider ourselves lucky to have found Ceri, our little girl has always enjoyed going to Ceri's, has been given lots of activities and outings across her week which have allowed her to develop and make friends. Ceri's home is ideally set out for little ones with a very well equipped play room and garden. Ceri's family are all very walm and welcoming to the children making it a home from home experience. We have always felt confident that she has been safe and happy in Ceri's care. We would highly recommend Ceri as a childminder.

Ceri was our child minder for over three year before our children attended school. Ceri is a loving, kind and fun child minder! Both our children loved going to their Aunty Ceri's house. The house is spotless and the playroom is excellently equipped for children of all ages. A large garden with a super playhouse is regularly used when the weather suits for playing and picnics. Ceri's creative enthusiasm allows the children to develop their own creativity. She also ensures she learns all about the children's favourite characters and prepares activities with that theme in mind. In short, Ceri is an excellent child minder who puts the children's needs and care first at all times. I have no hesitation in recommending her to you. Regards Wendy
