My Experience

I have been an Ofsted-registered childminder since 2015, caring for children from very young babies through to school age. I achieved Outstanding at both my 2018 and 2024 Ofsted inspections. My most recent inspection praised my understanding of each child, strong relationships, support for communication and independence, and rich outdoor learning. I undertake regular training, hold a current paediatric first-aid certificate and provide warm, child-led, home-from-home care.

My Qualifications

I am an Ofsted-registered childminder, fully insured and DBS checked. I hold a current paediatric first-aid certificate and undertake regular safeguarding, EYFS and professional-development training. I have achieved Outstanding at both of my Ofsted inspections, in 2018 and 2024. My certificates and inspection reports are available for parents to view.

My Availability

I am open Monday to Thursday from 8:00am–5:30pm.

Funded places are generally offered between 8:30am and 4:00pm. Families may book additional paid hours before or after the funded session, or arrange entirely non-funded childcare during my full opening hours.

Both term-time and year-round contracts are available. Please contact me to discuss the days and hours you require.

My Fees

• Childminding from £10.00 per hour
• Babysitting from £18.00 per hour

Regular contracted childcare: £10 per hour.

Government-funded hours are offered completely free, with no additional charges for meals, snacks or regular local outings. Parents provide their child’s nappies, wipes, creams, sun cream, nappy bags, suitable clothing and any formula or breast milk required and occasionally a packed lunch or food if your child has a severe allergy.

Funding covers 38 weeks per year. Families may choose either a term-time contract 8.30 to 4pm covering the funded weeks or a year-round contract. Any contracted care required outside the 38 funded weeks is charged at £10 per hour. Contracted hours remain payable if a child does not attend.

For year-round contracts, I take five weeks’ paid annual leave. This is always scheduled outside the funded weeks, so families do not lose any of their child’s funded entitlement because of my planned holiday.

Ad-hoc emergency care or school-holiday care for children who do not regularly attend my setting is charged at £12.50 per hour.

Professional babysitting with me is £18 per hour, with a three-hour minimum booking.

My two daughters also offer babysitting at £12.50 per hour, with a two-hour minimum booking. Both have extensive hands-on experience with children through growing up in my childminding setting and undertaking their own babysitting work. My eldest daughter, aged 16, is also DBS checked and First Aid trained. I remain available as adult backup whenever either of them is babysitting.
