About Me
My name is Christina and I'm 29 years of age. I graduated from the University of Chester gaining a 2.1 BA (hons) degree in Early Childhood Studies focusing on children 0-5 8 years ago and since then worked as a nanny for almost 4 years and done some retail work for 4 years while completing a Certificate in Therapeutic play and a diploma in play therapy. I am currently taking driving lessons.
I am a polite, conscientious and hard working individual who has a kind and caring attitude, striving to care for others. I have a good understanding of children and have nearly 4 years previous nanny experience.
I am extremely reliable and punctual person willing to try new things. I have a good sense of humour but also show my sensitive side in emotional situations.
My Experience
Nanny experience- working with 2 school aged children sept 2015-Feb 16.
From February 16, I worked with a family with an 11 month old and a 6 year old and stayed here until April 19. I then had a slight break and worked in retail for 4 years whilst studying again.
I gained a lot of experience while at University, working in local day nursery settings as well as being given the opportunity to work at the Wirral Toy Library with children who have special needs and disabilities.
I also managed my own children's Playscheme in Hoylake for children aged 5-11 for 3 years so I have had experience across the full age range. Doing this has given me some amazing insights into how children play and learn. It has also given me opportunities to develop my self confidence, self belief and has given me a lot of experience which I would like to show.
Running this has meant I have had to take it upon myself to
- Set up and run my own website and booking system
- Deal with the finances
- Publicise my playscheme round schools and my local area
- Arrange, plan and put into practice suitable fun activities for children of all ages
- Had the responsibility of ensuring staff ratios where in line with Ofsted guidelines.
-Responsibility of caring for 24 children each morning and afternoon.
