My Summary

My Experience

I have had experience as a nanny over approximately an ten year period. My duties ranged within this time from mothers help to sole charge, working from newborn twins and a toddler to a teenager with special educational needs.

From 2011-2014 I worked as a qualified teacher in a reception class, and in a mixed reception/year one class. Whilst being with the children was great fun, the demands of being a teacher outside of the classroom were too much and I am glad to have moved back into a career in which I was able to enjoy my time at work as well as my personal life after work.

From January 2015-May 2016, I returned to work as a nanny in Wilmslow 3 days per week for a 1 and 4 year old (at the time of commencement). Whilst I was very happy in my job the distance no longer suited.

I then. worked as a before school nanny locally for a boy, 2 and girl, 6 alongside my own daughter, who was then 1. Whilst the position worked well and benefitted all children, once I fell pregnant again the position was no longer viable.

When my children were old enough for me to return to work I then took on a nanny position caring for 1 year old twins two days a week and I stayed in this position for three years until shortly before they were ready to start school.

At present my children are almost 9, 7 and almost 1 years of age. All are cared for between myself and my husband but I'm ideally looking to find a suitable position locally where I could care for my youngest alongside those of the nanny family.

My Qualifications

Qualified teacher status.
First aid trained.
BA hons in Primary Education
Diploma of higher education in Childhood Studies

My Availability

I would ideally like to take a part time position (1/2 full days) within 10 miles or so of Ramsbottom.

I would require the family I take a position with to be happy with me bringing my 8 month old daughter to work with me. As an experienced childcare provider I expect that I would be able to take a position with two children plus my own and still provide adequate support and care for them all.

I would work the occasional weekend, 2-3 per year but no more as I value my time spent with my husband, family and friends.

I will also be happy to do the occasional babysitting but I would expect this to be paid in addition to my usual salary.

My Fees

• Nannying from £20.00 per hour (gross)

I am happy to negotiate this but would require between £16-£20 per hour.

I am happy to become OFSTED registered should my employers be happy to pay for this in order to pay with childcare vouchers.
