My Summary

My Experience

.I have worked at a Secondary school since 2002 and support a range of students from years 7-11 in a range of subjects, with significant experience of working with SEN/ASD students. Experience across Key stage 3 and 4. in all academic departments, specialising in science. Able to work with people at all levels with a flexible, inquiring, resourceful and resilient personality. I currently run an after school homework club.
I have 2 older children. During my time working as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant I have supported and worked with pupils in whole class as well as in groups and on a one to one basis. I have also had the opportunity to liaise with teachers and contribute to lesson planning, lesson preparation, school trips and playground duty. Furthermore I have been involved in undertaking individual reading, carrying out English assessments . Within this role I have supported children with Special Educational Needs. Furthermore I have learnt valuable lessons including how to plan, deliver and assess learning activities. I have a talent for motivating and challenging all my students, getting the best I can out of them.
