My name is Laura and I am a registered childminder and I am level 3 qualified. I have been registered for 9 years and received a Good in all areas from Ofsted at my last inspection (Aug 2022) I live in Finedon with my Husband and our 3 sons (ages 16, 18 and 20 years).
We have a dog who has grown up around our children, a cat and a range of other small animals.
I believe that children learn best in a safe and warm environment where they can play and explore both indoors and out.
I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage covering all aspects of learning through activities, play and outings.
I have spaces for 2,3 and 4 year old funded sessions available now. I can offer 15 hours for qualifying 2 year olds and ALL 3 and 4 year olds and the additional 15 hours for qualifying 3 and 4 year olds hours. I am happy to split these hours with playgroups or nurseries if needed.
I have a large garden with sand and water play and access this in all weather. I am Forest School trained and we regularly visit the local woodlands and parks.
We are a non smoking household.
My Experience
I have been childminding for 9 years, In my recent Ofsted inspection I was awarded Good in all areas (august 2022).
I come from a private nursery background where I was room leader for a 32 space preschool and went on to be Nursery Manager. I have worked with all age groups from birth to 11+. While I was in my previous role my nursery was twice awarded outstanding.
My Qualifications
I have a level 3 diploma in childcare.
I have a full and relevant paediatric first aid certificate.
I am fully trained in safeguarding.
I have also done lots of training courses on all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
My Availability
I am open from 7.30 till 6pm Monday to Friday. (I can be flexible with these times on request.)
I will have a part time space for an early years child NOW
Government funded spaces for 2, 3 and 4 year olds are also available.
I can also offer school drop off and collection for both Finedon schools.
