I'm Cairen, a mum of 2 young boys 3 & 1.
I've just had a couple of years off work and now looking for a part time Nanny post.
Before my leave I was a live out nanny for a lovely family for 7 years, taking care of their 3 children. During which I had my own little boy who then joined in the fun!
I also set up and ran my playgroup business 'Messy Fingers Messy Toes' for 3 successful years. This was a playgroup for both children and their grown up to enjoy together, offering trays of sensory experiences according to a different theme each week, such as Under the Sea spaghetti and Arctic snowy foam!
Last year after having our second little boy we moved to Penistone, I love it here! It feels like a chilled way of life and there are lots opportunities to explore on the trail!
I am all for the Montessori way of parenting, the boys enjoy playing outdoors in all weathers and once I've set up different play opportunities they are free to play and learn at their own pace.

My Experience
I have 8 years childcare experience; from my many placements for college and uni in Nursery's, After School Clubs and Families Together (a charity run organisation to help family's stay together), to full time work as a teaching assistant in a primary school; I assisted children in their reading and spelling and supervising play times. I worked as a room leader in the toddler room in a private day care nursery; I planned daily activities in accordance to each child's development and needs, while supervising the other staff and reporting back to each parent/carer at the end of the day. I also worked abroad as a nanny for a holiday company with children aged 5- 14 years, providing fun and exciting activities and experiences such as wind surfing, pool games and relay games on the beach for them to enjoy whilst on their holidays.
*UPDATE* Since writing the above I have been a live out nanny for the same lovely family for 7 years, during which I had two boys of my own.
I also set up and ran 'Messy Fingers Messy Toes' playgroup for 3 successful years.. it was so much fun but starting my own family took over!

GCSE Maths - C, English - CC
CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education level 3
BA Hons 2:1 degree in Children and Playwork
