About Me
Hello, I'm Rachel and I am an Ofsted registered childminder and a mum. I live in Gedney Hill. Children in my care have lots to do and learn through play in a caring, safe environment.
Early years education combined with exceptional quality care will give your child a good start in life and give you peace of mind.
I offer free funded places for some 2 year olds and all 3 and 4 year olds for 15 or 30 hours per week. I’m registered for Tax Free Childcare.
My home is warm and welcoming and we have an enclosed rear garden with lots of toys. I love being creative with crafts and cooking. We like going out and about and I am a regular at Toddler Groups. I can pick up or drop off at Gedney Hill primary school.
I also offer a breakfast club and after school care. The older children can enjoy crafts, toys and games or just relax with friends.
My Experience
I have been childminder for 23 years! Find something you love and stick with it!
Prior to this I was a teacher at a Peterborough comprehensive school. My Ofsted report was graded as 'Good' at my last inspection. Children have lots of fun, inside and outside. I have lots of toys, crafts, music, we love cooking with the children. We attend Toddler groups, music group, have outings and make friends.
I take an individual approach to each child and their needs. Working with parents to get the best experience for their child.
Excellent references are available.
My Qualifications
I have a degree in Geography. I was a teacher for a short time. I became a childminder when my own children were tiny. I have since undertaken lots of childminding courses in play, behaviour, safety etc. I am also fully first aid trained. I renew my first aid training regularly. It’s a brilliant job and I pride myself on being amongst the very best.
My Availability
I am available all week, Monday to Friday. I can do early starts or late finishes for shift workers.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
I charge £5.00 per hour but offer some discount for full time places and siblings. Please contact me without any obligation. I also offer 15 / 30 hours per week of FREE child care and early years education for 3 and 4 year old children and some 2 year olds.
