My Experience

My experience in childcare has primarily been within a baby room setting, working with children aged 3 months to 2 years. In this role, I have been a key person for over five children, working closely in partnership with parents as well as collaboratively with colleagues. This included sharing important information such as dietary requirements, sleep habits, and daily routines, while ensuring each child’s individual needs were consistently met.

I am highly experienced in following care routines, including nappy changing, preparing bottles, and organising feeds, always maintaining a safe, nurturing, and responsive environment.

In recognition of my reliability, strong work ethic, and ability to build positive relationships with families, I was promoted to Deputy Room Leader in my previous role.

I have worked as a nanny for a family with twin girls from the age of four months to one year. I supported the family on a daily basis, working closely alongside the children’s mother to establish a consistent routine, introduce weaning, and assist with day-to-day care. I planned and provided age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework to support the children’s development and milestones, as well as organising outings such as walks and visits to the park.

Additionally, I have experience using “Tiny Talk” (baby sign language) within a nursery setting and have also implemented this with my own children from a young age. This approach supports early communication through signs such as “milk,” “please,” “thank you,” “more,” and “nappy,” helping children to express their needs and better understand daily routines and transitions.

Most recently have worked in a pre school with children ages 2-4 years. Meeting their ever growing personal, social and emotional needs!
