It is with the highest regard that we write this review for Karolina, who was our nanny from March 2020 to December 2022.

Karolina joined us to look after our one year old son as I returned back to full-time work after 12 months maternity leave. She also helped provide wrap-around care for our then three and a half year old son too.

What we didn’t realise when we hired Karolina, is that she would join just as the world shifted in March 2020, and we suddenly found ourselves navigating Covid and the intense demands of lockdown together. Our professional relationship with Karolina very quickly transitioned into a lasting personal friendship, and she became an indispensable part of our family during one of the most challenging, yet formative periods. We felt incredibly lucky to have found her!

In uncertain times, Karolina’s calm presence was a constant source of support and stability. She is exceptionally efficient, organised and has impeccable time management skills, ensuring a smooth-running household even in chaos!

Throughout her time with us, Karolina expertly guided us through various transitions with the boys including breastfeeding, sleep routines, teething and our eldest’s move from nursery to ‘big school.’

Karolina balances her deeply kind and compassionate nature with an effective ability to set and maintain necessary boundaries. This ensured the boys felt both nurtured and secure in a structured environment.

Karolina knows Stoke Newington and Hackney extremely well with knowledge of a variety of classes and all the kid’s hotspots. Come rain or shine, she ensured the boys had lots of time outdoors. She is very well known in the area and is very highly sought after—rightfully so.

A decision for me to take a career break to spend more time with the boys meant we no longer needed Karolina. We were very sad to see her go. Although, in many ways, she never left! We are still friends with Karolina and her lovely son, Bruno; and we still see them regularly for catch-ups, play dates, sleepover’s and special celebrations (birthdays, Halloween etc).

Karolina will always be a part of our lives going forward. She is a rare gem, and we cannot recommend her highly enough. Any family would be incredibly fortunate to have her as their nanny.
