My Summary

My Experience

I have worked in various nursery settings with children from 3 months to five years supporting their learning and development along with providing the children with the best possible care. During my experience I developed working relationships with parents and carers to support and guide them with their child's development.

As part of all my childcare roles I followed Ofsted requirements, the EYFS framework, safeguarding, confidentiality and health and safety policies and understood the importance of equal opportunities for every person.

My last role in childcare was as a Deputy Manager within the Senior Team working with the Manager to oversee the daily running of the whole nursery. Before taking on this role I worked as a Graduate Leader within the Pre-school room with the Room Leader to encourage the development of the room. I had a number of key children and planned activities relating to their current interests and expanded on these daily with a variety of resources and tools to support play based learning. I introduced new ideas and activities for the staff to use and encouraged a mix of play and learning within the room to help promote the development of each child’s learning.

For four years I worked as a Nursery Supervisor within a nursery supervising the 3-5 years room providing new learning experiences for the children relating to the EYFS curriculum. I was responsible for supporting my key children with their learning by using individual profiles to record their development, this enabled me and my team to concentrate on any areas that each child may need support with. Within my role I ensured that every child in my care felt safe and secure and that the nursery environment had a loving and child centered approach.

My first childcare experience was as a Nursery Nurse which then extended into becoming the Supervisor within a nursery setting following the same kind of working environment but with children from 1-2 years.

I currently now work in the NHS but I am looking to provide babysitting services on an evening and weekends when required.
