My Experience

I have had many years experience in childcare. I started my early years / childcare career working within a Nursery setting where I started off as a Nursery Nurse based in Over 2's room before progressing to become the Room Leader. As a supervisor within the setting, it was my duty to work and support other staff/teams in the setting which meant I often worked within the baby room too. My job role involved me being a key person where I was able to form close attachments with the children and their parents in my setting.

I then decided I wanted to gain experience working with older children so took on a role as an LSA (Learning Support Assistant) within a junior school where I worked with children on a 1:1 basis who had Autism, ADHD and Dyspraxia. This role gave me a better understanding on individual needs that children have.

In 2019, I decided I wanted to return to early years so started a job as a Deputy Manager of a nursery and progressed my career to be a Nursery Manager. I had my little boy in 2023, and having a better work life balance for my son and I became priority so after maternity leave, took a step down and am now a fully committed Deputy Manager and SENCO.

My Qualifications

I hold a CACHE Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce certificate.

2:2 BA Honours in Children’s Development and Learning

Paediatric First Aid Trained
Designated Safeguard Lead and Level 3 Safeguarding Trained

Evenings and the occasional weekend evenings

• Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
