About Me
Hi I’m Annemarie (Annie), and I live in Broadfield with my partner and three lovely girls born 2018, 2019 and 2022. I am a newly Ofsted registered childminder, and currently offer the tax free childcare.
For as long as I can remember I have always loved working and being around children, watching them learning new things and grow into amazing individuals. I have previously worked as a deputy manager of a preschool whilst studying my Ba(Hons) Degree in Early Childhood Studies, which has allowed to be deepen my understanding of why play is essential for children's learning!
Our home provides a welcoming, fun environment where children can learn, play and explore the world. The living room is set up for all toys to be accessed at child level to encourage free play, with chalk boards and whiteboards set up in the kitchen for mark making. There is also a cosy space under the stairs to encourage reading and calm time. We also have a child friendly garden with our sandpit, wizard house, mud kitchen, water play and ride-Ons. We also live a few minute’s drive from Tilgate Forest, Broadfield park, and Buchan Country Park which gives us the opportunity to explore and stimulate your child’s imagination everyday by getting outdoors. Endless fun can be had looking for animals, playing pooh sticks or visiting the ducks and swans in the park. We also go on frequent farm trips to WashBrooks family farm!
I also provide home cooked healthy, nutritional meals daily.
My Experience
I have over 10 years experience working with children. I have worked in a preschool as a deputy manger whilst studying for my BA (Hons) in Early Childhood, which I feel has improved my knowledge and understanding of children and therefore my practice when caring for them and helping them to learn and develop.
I accept the government tax free childcare scheme.
